HearstIf you watched the season finale of HBO's Girls last night, you saw Lena Dunham Hannah Horvath draw some "hairspiration" from ELLE magazine. The young author was in a downward spiral of anxiety when she missed the deadline for her e-book, her first big break. So she manically started flipping through ELLE and landed on a page featuring Carrie Mulligan, which was actually a faux article created for the scene. In a frenzied moment, she grabbed a pair of scissors and started chopping her locks to look like Mulligan's, which resulted in a tragic bowl cut. Sara Jaye WeissBrad Goreski has had a whirlwind couple of years. After leaving his position as Rachel Zoe's assistant, the bespectacled stylist became self-employed and landed his own reality television show on Bravo, It's a Brad, Brad World. Now in its second season, the series follows Goreski as he styles celebrity clients like Jessica Alba, Christina Ricci, and Stacy Keibler, coordinates designer collections, and maintains his relationship with boyfriend Gary Janetti. Yet, he still manages to get a good night's sleep, or so he told us.

Here, Horne explains how to recreate his signature speckled cat eye, ways to sculpt your cheekbones, and the nail color you need to try.

ELLE: Tell us about your technique for creating a speckled cat-eye makeup look. Are there any other colors you recommend trying other than black and white (or the reverse)?
David Horne: This was such a eureka moment, making a mistake and an imperfection something beautiful; really a play on Pointillism from the great artists whom I adore, such as [Georges] Seurat. The look is achieved simply by dotting and creating a feather-like liner. It looks beautiful done in Havoc Precision Ink, which is a stunning oxblood tone.

Adam Selman and Mel OttenbergRihanna is one lucky designer: After debuting her first collection for River Island at London Fashion Week, the pop star's creations were picked up by Opening Ceremony. But that's not all-the boutique's NYC location has created an exhibit dedicated to RiRi's bold style, and last night, we were there to see a first look at it and also chat with her stylist, Mel Ottenberg, and design partner, Adam Selman. RIHtrospective: Seven Rihanna Fashion Moments features mannequins outfitted in seven top looks worn by Rihanna. And seven is definitely her golden digit: It's the amount of Grammy awards she's won and it's the number of albums she has released.

"This was ready to happen," said Ottenberg, who has been working with Rihanna since 2011, of the decision to create a ready-to-wear line. "We were already talking about clothes all the time, and doing a million looks in such a fast and furious way, that it felt great to do this."
