Photo via www.dailymail.co.ukWe've always rolled our eyes at those prissy women who are afraid to work out because, God forbid, they might develop actual muscles. But enough is enough when your arms start to look like rubber bands wrapped around a turkey neck...which is pretty much the case at the moment with that notorious gym bunny Madonna, as seen in some photos in the Daily Mail. Her erstwhile boytoy A-Rod has copped to steroid use to pump himself up into a home run machine, but Madonna looks like she's shriveling, not bulking, from all her rigorous personal training. Most women her age fight the problem of underarm jiggle.
Looking for an easy way to rid of that flabby jiggle without looking quite as muscular as Madonna? Check out our quick fix- sans gym!
In her case, we see biceps, we see triceps and we see veins, but what appears to be missing is a layer of subcutaneous fat. And while the rest of her is faboo for fifty, these arms look scarily old. What do you think-would you want these babies sticking out

Photo via www.fox.com The first episode of the newest spin on The Bachelor, More to Love, airs tonight on Fox at 9 P.M. EDT. As suckers for a good dating show (blame our college roommate), we're stoked for a new season of love-finding. Initially scheduled to be called The Fatchelor (good call, Fox, on not calling it that), More to Love is all about twenty plus-size women, and one 26-year-old, 330-pound real estate investor (Luke) sticking it to the skinnies and getting to know each other not for how they look but for who they are. While there's more crying (and talk about steak) than the average show, it's refreshing to see them dig deeper. (Still, there's sure to be debates, considering the country's rising obesity levels, about whether the show celebrates something unhealthy.) Tune in and let us know what you think.

Haven't seen Amy Adams looking gorgeous on our August cover? Check out the photos here. After seeing her pretty eye makeup, created by makeup artist Dick Page ("I wanted to give the eye impact, without going for full smoky," he said, "the purple is just for fun"), we were inspired to try some new shadow colors too.
Are bright eye shadows becoming a trend? How to rock this runway look without looking like you have pinkeye.
"On its own, a bright-colored eyeliner can look a little wacky, so I like to use an eyeliner brush to work black powder shadow into my upper lashline, then I draw a thin stripe of turquoise eyeliner-which I find is more flattering than bolder blues-right above it. This way, you get a little fun color, but your eyes still look defined. My favorite shade is YSL Long-Lasting Eye Pencil in Paradise Blue." -Victoria Kirby, Beauty Editor

"IWould You Stay In A Five-Star Barbie Hotel Room?
By Allure Daily Beauty Reporter | Work + Money – Mon, Jul 27, 2009 10:52 PM EDT
If you grew up thinking one day you'd get to live in your own real-life Barbie dream house, the Palms hotel in Las Vegas is giving you the chance to at least spend the night in one. In celebration of Barbie's birthday, the girl has her own luxury suite (decked out in hot pink, obvi) designed by celebudecorator Jonathan Adler. There are Barbie pillows on the couch, Barbie prints on the walls, and a (kinda creepy) mirror surrounded by 1959 Black & White Bathing Suit Barbies. But living in this Barbie world will cost you a pretty penny: one night in this 2,350 square foot hotel room will run you $4,000-and sadly does not include a hot pink convertible for cruising the strip.
Not sure you're quite this committed to Barbie, but still looking for a vacation? Learn how to get a hotel upgrade here.

Photo via www.meganfoxdaily.comIf you've ever felt pangs of jealousy over Brooke Shields' brows, you'll be happy to hear that Uni.K.Wax centers across the country are offering a new "Celebrity Brows" service, where their experts will give you the star brows of your choice. (Apparently Megan Fox and Natalie Portman are the top requests. Sorry Brooke.)
Not ready to break the bank on your eyebrows? Check out our cheap trick to save on brows.
But before you rush out to book your appointment, consider the advice of all the zillions of makeup artists we've interviewed over the years-and that's that copying someone else's brow shape is never flattering. The key is finding the right shape for your face...using these top pro tips:
1. Know the beginning and the end. You've heard of that old pencil trick-but have you actually ever tried it? Hold the pencil
vertically against the side of your nose until it intersects your
brow-that's where the edge of your brow should begin. Then, tilt
the pencil diagonally so that it hitsIs Stealing for Surgery Becoming a Trend?

There seems to be a crime wave afoot in California. Or make that a crime wave abreast. The perps are all women who think that just because they'd like to have bodies they weren't born with that they also get to pay for their surgery with money they didn't earn.
And some people are paying with no money at all... just doing it themselves! Would you attempt self-surgery?
Latest caper: a woman in Berkeley who was just sentenced to prison for charging more than $24,000 in breast enhancement and liposuction to the credit card of a stranger in Florida. Similar cases of identity theft cosmetic surgery were reported last summer in the Bay Area (breast lift, tummy tuck) and earlier this year in Orange County (lipo, implant replacement). We call it truly feelonious.

Are You a Fan of Michelle Obama's New Bob?
By Allure Daily Beauty Reporter | Fashion – Wed, Jul 22, 2009 10:01 PM EDT
Photo via www.usmagazine.comStop your fussing over President Obama's jeans; the First Lady just got a new 'do. Michelle Obama stepped out with fresh new cut at a celebration of country music at the White House yesterday. (No confirmation yet that Johnny Wright wielded the scissors, but we hope he'll speak up soon.) While the bob has been gaining popularity for a while, we have an inkling that this woman might do the same thing for short hair that she did for J. Crew. What do you think of the cut?
Is Michelle inspiring you already? Go to our Hottest Cuts slideshow that tells you exactly how to get do-able celeb haircuts.

Is Conditioner Bad for Your Hair?
By Allure Daily Beauty Reporter | Fashion – Wed, Jul 22, 2009 7:01 PM EDT

It's one of those routines like putting on your socks and then your shoes for most women: first you shampoo, then you condition. But according to New York hairstylist River Lloyd, the second step shouldn't necessarily be a done deal. "If your hair is terribly damaged you need a conditioner, and maybe if someone has superthick, coarse hair," he says. But if you have a finer texture? Well, then conditioner may just be weighing you down. Instead, Lloyd likes detangler (especially Philip B's for light, effective unsnarling).
Know what else is bad for your hair? Formaldehyde, and it's in some hair straightening products. Check it out!
"Detanglers don't coat the hair," he explains. "They just change the pH slightly so you can get a comb through it." They're worth a try for anyone who ever feels greasy or twizzly after the usual shampoo/conditioning routine...although we know some women who will only give up their conditioner when the bottle is pried out of their cold, stiff fingers (are you

Photo via http://supermodels.nl/larastoneLara Stone is on the August cover of W, closed Chanel and opened Jean Paul Gaultier at the recent couture shows in Paris, and has appeared in ad campaigns including Givenchy and Jil Sander. And what sets her apart from the pack is her figure. British newspaper the Guardian wrote that Lara fluctuates between a size 4 and 6 (in American sizes). To the average woman, that's pretty thin. But for a model? Most of her peers are a waifish size 0, so she's way curvier than most-and photographer Bruce Weber and designers including Givenchy's Riccardo Tisci and Isabel Marant have praised her for it. In an interview last year, the Dutch model said, "It would be nice if I wasn't the only person with tits and an arse, but I am... I don't think I'm starting a trend." We say, time will tell.
Crave an hourglass figure? Read up on how rare that body type actually is.
