The red carpet has been rolled up, the official Seat-Filler has gone home and (presumably) sent his baby blue tux to the cleaners, and somewhere in France a handsome man is perhaps gazing at himself in the reflection of a golden statue ("J'adore America!"). Yes, friends, the Oscars are over, but that doesn't mean that we're ready to stop talking about them. Or -- to put it more accurately -- fighting over the red carpet finery. You see, we here at BettyConfidential take these things very seriously. Oh yes. We do.

We agreed that Viola Davis needs work on her cleavage exposure, we both swooned appropriately over Michelle Williams and her pretty peplum, and we were equally perplexed byMeryl Streep's golden get-up (It's pretty on TV! Okay, so maybe this is kinda like Where's Waldo. Here we have two tall people and one thing. But don't they all look alike? I guess that's the problem when you dress head to toe in gold.

You know, there are times when it's ridiculously easy creating a worst dressed red carpet list (yes, we're talking to you, Nicole Kidman); but there are also times when it's just painful to do so. Why? It's 'cause we love, admire and respect the actresses - we just can't stand the dresses! Though it's by no means a new social media tool-it's been around since September of 2011-it's hard to ignore the fact that so many celebs seem to be hopping on the Instagram bandwagon. And why wouldn't they? 1. AnnaSophia was born in Denver, Colorado on December 8, 1993. That makes her 18 years old.

2. If her name sounds a little unusual (maybe it's the lack of a space between the "Anna" and the "Sophia" bits), it's because it's sort of a portmanteau name: Her maternal great-grandmother was named Anna Sophie and her paternal grandmother was named Anna Marie, so her parents stitched

Sad news, Bettys: Jan Berenstain, one half of the team behind the classic children's book series The Berenstain Bears, passed away last Friday in Bucks County, PA after suffering a stroke. She was 88 years old. Jan survived her husband by six years-Stan Berenstain passed away in 2005 at the age of 82-but now, with both halves of the couple gone, the Bears have finally fallen silent. A gloomy day indeed for both children and adults everywhere.
