Miley shows off her bling.Um, earth to media: Engaged women don't wear their engagement rings 100 percent of the time, mkay?
By Natasha Burton
There's been some speculation about Miley Cyrus and her fiance Liam Hemsworth's relationship of late because (gasp!) Miley has been spotted WITHOUT HER RING ON. Seriously?! (ICYMI, Miley posted a photo on her Twitter page, as seen above, showing her brandishing her bling.)
Sure, you would think that an engaged gal would never want to take her diamond off her finger-and I certainly felt that way the moment my guy put a ring on it-but the fact is, after a couple months, I forget to wear mine all the time. And I always take it off before going to the gym now after getting a couple of ring-induced blood blisters. So, when I'm bopping around town, I'm probably only wearing my ring about half the time. Not a big deal.
I think it's a bit ridic that gossip sites determine a couple's relationship status based on whether or not a chick is wearing her

According to a Purdue University study, girls who date an abusive guy are happier than they expected when the relationship ends. This is an obvious duh, but the study noticed that the women in the study projected their happiness to be low if the relationship ended, suggesting that this is why (aside from the mental abuse) many women stay in abusive relationships.

So if you're dating someone that has either shoved, controlled, sworn at, or humiliated you, you need to end your relationship. There's no doubt breakups suck. It'll be sad and hard to emotionally detach from someone who has pretty much brainwashed you, but staying in an unhealthy relationship will cause you more long-term problems. And maybe this study is a sign: You'll be happier than you think to put him behind you.
Eat this to help fight the bloat. You went to sleep skinny. So why does it feel like you gained the entire freshman 15 overnight? "Your weight can change anywhere from one to five pounds in a day due to hormone fluctuations, what you eat, and water retention," says Melinda Jampolis, MD, a physician in L.A. If you're bloated all the time and also have stomach pain, see a doctor--it could be a medical issue. 1. Use Instagram
"Pull up a favorite pic of yourself on your phone, and look at it during the day," suggests Ashley Solomon, a psychologist in Chicago. You may feel more preggo than hot chica right now, but the image reminds you how you felt in that moment. Warm fuzzies may ensue.

1. Think savvy, not superfan
Walk the line between being a nervous nelly and a fan girl, says Berger. Make sure your passion doesn't come across as too obsessive. Come across as confident but also appropriate and reserved when needed.
2. In fact, play a little hard to get
Aggressiveness is passé, says Shapiro. Unless you're in certain fields (you know if you're in them, such as the media industry) being super aggressive

Here's how you can survive a really long distance relationship.I'm in a super-long-distance relationship with a guy who lives in a different time zone. We're talkin' a six hour time difference and sometimes six months between visits. When I leave for work in New York, he's already asleep in Holland-but we make it work. 1. Regular Skype Sessions
Set a regular Skype time every day. It might sound clingy, but it works for us. If one of us can't make it at that time, we know we'll make it work the next night. Plus, I don't spend time during the day wondering when we're going to talk.
2. Talk It Up
Don't talk for more than an hour at any given time. That way, you've left some things to talk about the next time you speak. If the convo does get dull, cheer up by planning your first day together again after being apart.

Ask for what you need and be specific. You think you and your guy should both clean up around the house, but he can't read your mind. So ask him--nicely, not in a critical way--and listen to his response. Saying "I want you to do more around the house" won't get you as far as saying "Let's agree on what needs to get done around the house and divvy up the list." He may even have ideas for getting the job done better and/or faster (really).
Be direct (not directive). Consider the household to-do list as something to tackle together. If one of you needs to be home when the electrician comes to fix the ceiling fan, invite him to the appointment on his Outlook calendar; this way, it's clearly a shared

In fact, a recent survey by The Knot and WeddingChannel.com found that the average price people spend on their weddings rose in 2012 to $28,427. Which is like the price of a car or even a down payment on a house in some states. Spending that on just one day seems a bit crazy, right?

I thought so-until I started planning my own wedding. Lemme just break down how fast you can spend $30K on a wedding for 100 people:
Five-hour venue rental: $5,000
Day-of wedding coordinator (required by our venue): $2,000
Food: $10,000 (If we were having our wedding at a hotel, we would have had a $30,000 food minimum.)

1. Keep Mum on the Dirty Details
Jason Segel and Michelle Williams have yet to even comment about their breakup (the news came from those mysterious "sources"), which is a lot classier than spilling the deets via Twitter. No need to give the world a lengthy explanation of what happened when you split from a guy-that's your business and your business only.
2. Make a PC Joint Statement
It might be hard to resist telling your respective circles of friends what happened between you two. So, take a cue from Bachelor Ben Flajnik and Courtney Robertson, who jointly announced they had "grown apart" after a year of dating. (To the surprise of no one, we might add.) Planning a neutral, agreed-upon

1. In the Bedroom
Most dudes love doing it doggy style because they're the ones who can control how fast or slow you guys go. But feel free to switch it up! Get on top and tell him to not move as you go for a ride. Or, initiate having intercourse somewhere unusual like the kitchen counter. Taking him by surprise will turn you both on...
2. Date Night
Traditionally, the guy is the one who plans the date. Grab him by surprise by telling him, "Don't book anything for Saturday night. We're going out." You'll leave him on the edge of what is going to go down on your date and longing to see you ASAP.
