    • Finally, No More Sharing Your iPad! Introducing the Leapfrog LeapPad

I don't have an iPad, but I totally wish I did. The reason I won't splurge on one? I don't want my daughter to touch it. I know that's selfish, but it's true. She already gets yogurt and other gunk on my iPhone--I draw the line at a $500 tablet.

That's why I am beyond excited about the Leapfrog LeapPad. Yup, it's an iPad for toddlers!

Complete with a camera, over 100 games and apps and the ability to be personalized with your child's name, this is probably the coolest kid's gadget I've seen yet. And it means I my daughter will be occupied with her own tablet so I can finally get my iPad!

    • Pregnancy Announcement Cards? Isn't That What Facebook and Twitter Are For?

You know how I usually find out that a friend is expecting? I either get an email or a Facebook update. And really, both are fine with me because good news is good news no matter how I find out.

But then I saw these really cute pregnancy announcement cards on Tiny Prints. What a fabulous idea, and why not? People send out Save the Date cards for their upcoming weddings, so why not send out cards to share your due date...and current cravings? Sure, it takes more effort than a status update on FB, but isn't it worth it?

Choose from four dozen designs starting at $1 each, and then deliver the delightful news in style. Trust me, your friends and family will "like"!

    • Is It Just Me Or Are These PJs Seriously Inappropriate?

I love Gap--I really do. I would say 85% of my daughter's clothing is from babyGap and I even shop at GapKids for myself. But as I was stocking up in the sale earlier today, I came across this PJ set and thought, "Really?"

Now I get that pajamas are intended for the home, but I'm still wary of anything that calls attention to a little girl's chest. (Case in point, this scandalous bikini.) These PJs are designed for little girls up to 5 years old and I really think the seashells over the breasts are unnecessary. They could have easily conveyed the mermaid look by placing the shells anywhere else. But right over the chest? I'm sorry, I just think it's inappropriate.

What about you? Am I being too uptight or do you agree that these PJs are a little risque for a toddler girl? Share your opinion in the comments.

    • Are You Passing Your Fears Onto Your Kids?

If you've been keeping up with MOMfinds, I've been alluding to my family's recent trip to Orlando. The weather was great, my daughter had a blast so all in all it was a good trip. There was one surprise, though. My daughter is a total roller coaster fiend.

I, on the other hand, am a total wuss when it comes to rides. I don't get on anything that spins and definitely not on anything the goes upside down. So imagine my surprise when my 2-year-old daughter was begging to go on all the rides at Disneyworld and the local carnivals. I was in shock.

When she first asked to go on the kiddie coaster above, I asked her "You're not afraid?" She responded "No" and immediately I wanted to kick myself for even bringing it up. Here my little girl was feeling brave enough to go on her first roller coaster and I was attempting to hold her back because of my fear. Not my proudest moment.

Last week I was taken back to the fear issue when a giant, disgusting water bug infiltrated our

    • Would You Let Your Man Wear this Daddy Tee?

With Father's Day around the corner, there's no shortage of funny dad tees to go around. I've seen one that proudly says "My boys can swim" and another that brags "He shoots...he scores." And then there's the one above that says "Yeah, I knocked her up."

I don't know about you, but I'd be mortified if my husband wore that shirt in public. Scratch that...I'd be mortified if he wore it at home. Call me a Debbie Downer or someone who lacks a sense of humor, but I think it's tacky, and there is no way I'm letting my man where that shirt. Lucky for me he wouldn't wear it in the first place.

What about you? What do you think of the tee? Tell us in the comments below.

    • Kid Bugging You for a Bean Bag Chair? Try One of These...

      Cocoon Couture Bean Bag ($130)

Bean bag chairs are one of those things that all kids love. Not only are they a great little spot to curl up and read a good book or watch cartoons, but they make even better landing pads.

I haven't been the biggest fan, though, because quite frankly, most of them are pretty hideous. But not these four kids bean bag chairs. Check them out. They're pretty cute (and all machine washable), and the Boon Animal Bag even doubles as a storage solution for all those stuffed animals you don't know what to do with!

    • What Do You Think of Character Birthday Party Invites?

hello kitty birthday party invitationshello kitty birthday party invitations

My daughter's birthday is next month, so I am just about to go into serious party planning mode. I don't do those crazy, $30,000 RHOBH birthday parties, but I do like to celebrate my little girl's big day with a bash. And of course, it all starts with the invitations.

I always buy my birthday party invitations from Tiny Prints because they're affordable and the paper quality and design selection is amazing. For the last two years, I chose my daughter's invites, but this year I decided to involve her in the process. Her pick? The Hello Kitty birthday party invitations above.

I will admit, they are cute. But the same way putting her in clothes emblazoned with a logo gives me pause, I'm not so sure about sending invites with a cartoon character on them. This party is about my little girl, not about promoting Sanrio's brand. On the other hand, this party is also about making my daughter happy and I'm pretty sure these invites would do just that.

What do you think? Do you

    • Keeping Baby's Gender a Secret like Kathy Witterick? Read This!

Tiny Prints Leading Story Unisex Baby AnnouncementTiny Prints Leading Story Unisex Baby Announcement
Have you heard of the Canadian parents who are keeping their 4-month old's gender under wraps? That's right, Kathy Witterick and David Stocker, plus their two sons, a good friend and two midwives who helped in the delivery room are the only ones who know if baby Storm is a boy or girl.

According to Yahoo News, by keeping Storm's gender a secret, the parents are challenging their friends, family and everyone who meets Storm to "let Storm discover for him/herself what s/he wants to be" without using any labels.

The ironic thing is that Stocker also says the following, "What we noticed is that parents make so many choices for their children. It's obnoxious." Ummm, isn't he choosing this confusing genderless path for Storm? Now that's obnoxious!

What's the problem with talking about your child's gender? Yes, people treat boys and girls differently, and in many ways they are different, but it's your job as a parent to teach your children that they can transcend the
