    • Why I Love this Picture of Alicia Silverstone in Sweats

As much as I love checking out all the fabulous maternity styles of stars like Jessica Alba and Selma Blair, it's a breath of fresh air to see celebrity moms-to-be dressed down. Like the very pregnant Alicia Silverstone (she's due next month!) in this picture wearing baggy sweats. Mama is keeping it real!

Be honest, when you were pregnant, weren't there days when you lived in sweats? And didn't it feel good to be able to breathe and move around comfortably? Come on, those maternity jeans look great on you, but those loose sweats? COMFY! And a great excuse not to do anything all day long.

So who's with me? Yes to sweats or are you always dressed to impress? Share your thoughts in the comments below.

    • TSA Frisks 6-Year Old...Isn't Traveling with Kids Hard Enough?

    • Okay, here's a fact: everyone and their mother loves J. Crew. I'm not sure I've ever met a person who had something bad to say about the brand, except that the clothes are a little on the expensive side.

The world's love affair with J. Crew has a lot to do with Jenna Lyons. She's the executive creative director for the brand and basically the reason why you want everything in the catalogs. For the last few years, it's been nothing but praise for her and how far she's taken J. Crew, but apparently she messed with the wrong right wings in a recent email blast.

That's Jenna and her adorable son Beckett and yes his toenails are painted. Hot pink.

Now Jenna is not the first "famous" person who's painted her son's nails. Both of Gwen Stefani's sons have been photographed with painted fingernails. Kingston wore orange and Zuma wore what looked to be burgundy. Maybe Gwen gets a pass because she isn't as mainstream as Jenna and J. Crew, but some critics at FoxNews.com are

    • Would Your Man Wear Spanx?

My husband never fails to surprise me. This time around, it was his thoughts about Spanx for men. I thought he'd laugh about the Compression Tees and Zoned-Performance Crew Necks and make some joke, but nope. He said he'd wear them if they were comfortable and if they actually make him look better like in the photo below. Hmmm, I guess it's not just moms like me who worry about muffin tops and love handles. And let's not forget about their beer bellies!

So tell us, would your man wear Spanx? Tell us in the comments below.

    • What Do You Think of Mariah Carey's Maternity Photos?

I've said it before, and I'll say it again: I love Mariah Carey. I've loved her since I was a teenager, so even through all her... poor choices, I still have a soft place in my heart for her. That being said, have you seen her new Life & Style cover? MC, who's expecting twins let's remember, bares it all.

Okay, she's not completely naked, but that is a whole lot of baby bump. Don't get me wrong, I love the idea of maternity photos. I'm just not so sure their place is on a magazine cover. Plus, I'm also a little weirded out by Mariah's semi-sexualized pose and facial expression. Sure pregnant women can be sexy... but not to me and the rest of the world. Shouldn't that be reserved for Nick Cannon?

Anyway, I still love Mariah, but I don't think I'm really into this cover. What do you think? Did you take maternity photos? If so, would you share them with the world? If you were famous, would you have them published in a magazine? Share your thoughts in the comments.

If there is one thing every mom-to-be should own, it's a comfortable pair of maternity leggings. It's probably the one thing in your maternity wardrobe that will never let you down. They'll always fit, they'll always be comfy and you can wear them so many ways.

    • Should You Carry a 40 Pound Kid In a Baby Carrier?

A few weeks back, my coworker came into the office astounded by something she'd seen on the street: a big kid in a baby carrier. I laughed it off because I too have seen kids in baby carriers who clearly should be walking. But hey, I'm not the one carrying the kid, so who cares, right?

Except as I was recently researching the best baby carriers for a friend, I was suddenly astounded by the weight limit on some of these baby carriers. The ERGO Baby Carrier, which is arguably one of the best baby carriers on the market, has a weight limit of 40 pounds. 40 pounds!!

Now let's be honest: who the heck is carrying around a 40 pound kid in a baby carrier? There's a reason it's called a baby carrier--because it's for babies! The thought of it just makes my back sore. Walking around with that much weight on your back for any extended period of time has to be bad for you, no?

Doctors and doctor moms alike, help me out here: should we be carrying 40 pound kids on our backs? When did

    • Do You Have Mommy Cards?

I should probably start by asking if you know what mommy cards are. If not, think back to those time when you met a really cool mom at the playground then had to dig around in your diaper bag for a pen and paper to exchange contact info with her. Now imagine if all you had to was reach into your wallet and hand her one of your mommy cards. Smart, huh?

Mommy cards are basically like business cards for moms. You can have them printed with your name, your kids name(s) and your contact info so whenever you meet a new mommy friend, it's easy for her to keep in touch with you.

I will admit, the idea of mommy cards totally makes sense in my head. How many random slips of paper with someone's contact info have you lost? But do most moms actually use these things? I don't frequent the playdate/playground circuit very often, so it's not really surprising I have yet to encounter them in real life. What about you? Have you ever been given a mommy card? Do you carry mommy cards? Tell us
