While I love my long hair, I've always been secretly jealous of girls with super short cuts, like Michelle Williams or Emma Watson. To me, short hair is edgy, hip, and super stylish. And I thought everyone thought so too; After all, most of my girlfriends gush about Ginnifer Goodwin's newest crop or Ashlee Simpson's '20s-style hair. Then, I had a conversation with some guys at work …

Apparently, many guys don't like short hair. To get to the bottom of this, I marched down to our office's parking lot during lunchtime, clutching a picture of Michelle Williams with short and long hair (see images on the left). A slew of guys were standing around the food trucks waiting to order. "Which do you like better?" I asked as I made my way around the lot. You don't have to be a mind reader to guess which one won. "She looks like a dude" was the most frequent comment as to why long hair was winning.

Is anyone else beyond ready to put her winter coat in storage? I know I am. All winter I've been bundled up in black and grey from head to toe, but enough is enough. I'm ready to shed some layers, show some skin, and wear some actual freakin' color.

For some inspiration on which colors to bust out, I hopped onto our Tumblr. There I found three color combinations I can't wait to try -- they're all perfect for spring and just the thing to get me out of my winter rut. Check them out below:

No. 1: Pinks and gold

Bright or pale pink looks gorgeous with gold accents like these bracelets. They both have warm undertones, so they complement each other without competing.

No. 2: Yellow and purple

They're complementary colors on the color wheel (whoa, flashback to middle school art class anyone?) so you know they're good together. I love the idea of yellow

Neon. When you hear that word what's the first thing that comes to mind? Bad '80s fashion? Me too. I had written off neon as a thing of the past, along with acid washed jeans and crunchy sky-high bangs. (For more '80s fashion faux pas, click here.) But like leggings and slouchy sweaters, neon is making a huge comeback as one of spring's hottest trends.

Before you declare your hatred to the fashion gods, know this: neon is way more sophisticated than it was two decades ago. In fact, this reinvention adds a classy pop of color to any outfit (kinda like these jeans), and is refreshing after years of little black dresses, and monochromatic styles. Don't get me wrong, I'm not about to don an entire neon outfit -- I'm not that brave -- but I'm definitely going to add a hint of it into my wardrobe.

My boyfriend wants to move out of our apartment. Not with me, mind you, but just him. Alone. The reason? My beauty clutter has become an issue. It's taken over our kitchen table, the bedroom dresser, the bathroom counter, and even his desk in the office. In my defense, a deluge of beauty goodies does come with the job. And on the upside, it keeps me from looking like one of these train wrecks.

But I digress. I love my boyfriend and our cozy (if a little cluttered) apartment, so I'm willing to change my ways. What I'm not willing to change is giving up great style for function. So I began looking on Pinterest, especially on my favorite pinners' boards, for stylish ways to de-clutter. It was no surprise that I found a bunch of great ideas to keep both of us happy. And him in the apartment.

Have you heard of BoycottKim.com? It's a website where you can sign an online petition and pledge to boycott "any product sold or marketed by Kim Kardashian." This includes products like the Tria Beauty Hair Removal System, the Kardashian Kollection, and even sites like ShoeDazzle.

Now, I'll be honest with you. I don't really have anything against Kim K. In fact, I'm sort of obsessed with her smoky eye makeup (see how her makeup artist creates the look here). But I still think this whole "boycott Kim" movement is pretty hilarious, so I decided to look into what kind of products she makes/endorses to see if they're really that bad.

And … OK … maybe there's a good reason for the boycott. Some of the products she endorses don't even work. But I also found some Kardashian-branded items that are actually worth your hard-earned cash. So before you sign that petition,

For those of you who are obsessed with "Project Runway," there's a new show called "Fashion Star" that premieres tonight on NBC. Like "Project Runway," it features several celebrity designers -- including Jessica Simpson and Nicole Richie -- who weigh in on what comes down the catwalk...

Now, I realize that celebrity designers don't have the best rap, (just check out this list for proof), but Richie and Simpson are actually good IMO. And while these ladies have totally different styles, they seem to make quality products that most of my friends aren't afraid to admit buying.

Keep in mind they also have completely different markets. Simpson's line sells at mainstream department stores like Macys and Nordstrom, and a dress or pump will only set you back $100 or so. Richie sells at high-end department stores like Bergdorf Goodman, Neiman Marcus, and Selfridges, and her clothing costs a bit more; for example, a dress sells

I recently caught up with my best college girlfriends after years of not seeing each other. No surprise that we spent a lot of time reminiscing.
