I've been accused of looking like I got dressed in the dark before, but generally I do my makeup in front of a well-lit, magnifying mirror. What can I say? I like to see what I'm working with.

So when this beauty dare was brought up, I cringed inside. We're seriously going to put on a full face of makeup without any light or mirror? Visions of lipstick on my teeth and mascara wands jammed in my eye haunted me until the day of the challenge. And I wasn't the only one who was scared (as these videos prove).

Fortunately, the actual challenge was scarier than the results -- you can check out audio of us doing our makeup here -- but I think I'll be sticking with my lights and mirror from now on. Click here to see how the challenge turned out, or see a few favorites in this gallery.

We've seen tons of celebs and fashion models getting on board with this summer trend. But would you actually go bra-less once the weather gets less, well, nippy?

On the one hand, you've gotta admit -- it looks quite airy and refreshing, but it's also a prime opportunity for a wardrobe malfunction like one of these.

It's easier for smaller-chested girls to get away with it, being slightly perkier than most. But for those of us who are, er, larger in that department, we can't really just let the girls flop around without any support, can we? And you obviously don't want to go braless in the workplace, unless you're one of these women. (True story.)

All in all, I'm still torn on this issue, as I'm sure many women are. What about you? Would you ever go bra-less when the weather gets warmer?

First things first: please don't tell me that's an acceptable hairstyle. It looks like there's a wispy, cheese-y bakery bun sitting on top of her head ... going into meltdown faster than eyeliner on a hot day.

To be fair, that's exactly how my hair looks when I wake up in the morning. But I'm usually pretty good about running a comb through it before leaving my house, at least. I don't understand how celebrities -- who have real stylists -- can actually end up on the red carpet looking like this.

I still remember the nightmare I had about starting my first summer job. I walked into a room full of co-workers in the middle of orientation ... wearing nothing but my underwear. This seemingly random question sprang up when I came across Oscar de la Renta's 2012 Resort collection. I've admitted my fashion ignorance in the past, but when I think "resort," I'm picturing bathing suits, sandals, maybe a sundress or two. Not flowing evening gowns like the one in this picture (from the collection).

Granted the color of the dress and heels are very summery, but really. Heels? On vacation?

If I'm going to a resort (and to be fair, my "resorts" are more of the Hyatt/Marriot variety than the "Four Seasons" type), here's what I'm bringing:

• Several bathing suits (find your perfect one here)
• Flip-flops
• Loose linen shirt for a coverup
• A sundress for dinner
• Sandals like these for "fancy" evenings
• These hair and makeup staples
