This is for all of you girls out there who are too scared to wear anything too "crazy" to the office. I know how you feel. I'd see a gorgeous makeup trend on the runway, but I would never wear it to work, because I thought I couldn't pull it off. Especially something like this.
But after getting challenged by some co-workers to step out of my beauty comfort zone, I sucked it up and came to the office wearing the most recent trend I saw on the runway (and fell in love with). Yep -- I wore purple makeup to work.
Given that I work at a beauty website, I didn't get very many stares (or even second glances). But the point is, you can wear certain runway trends to the office. The trick is to pick something you love, and own it. After all, purple is my best color, according to this eye shadow horoscope.
So, now I dare you to try something new with your look this week. Let me know how it goes by leaving a comment below! Need inspiration? Click here to see 18 amazing runway

Need a break from all the talk of the royal wedding? How about this: According to RadarOnline.com, Reese Witherspoon and Jim Toth are getting married ... this month. How exciting!
Sources say the ceremony will be at her Ojai Valley estate, and that "candles and flowers will be everywhere, in white and pastels, for an intimate feeling." I bet she'll also bring a bit of southern flair to the wedding, which is so totally Reese. And rumor has it she's going to wear a Monique L'huillier wedding dress (which is perfect for a southern wedding ... Sweet Home Alabama, anyone?).
Anyway, now we can't help but speculate what her wedding day hair and makeup will look like, of course -- I'm thinking sweet, soft and simple (something like her picture to the right), to match the décor. Plus, she always plays up her natural beauty, and I don't see her doing anything out of the ordinary, even on her wedding day.
How do you think Reese should do her hair and makeup on her wedding day? Weigh in with10 Real Life Job Interview Disasters
By BeautyRiot Diva | Work + Money – Wed, Mar 16, 2011 8:12 PM EDT
I'll admit; I've had a few interviews where I knew I wasn't getting the job. Once an interviewer asked me how I would handle a hypothetical issue -- then told me my answer was so wrong she didn't even know where to begin. Yikes.
But sometimes you might think an interview is going really well -- and meanwhile the hiring manager is frantically trying not to cringe or laugh. That's the gist of these job interview mistakes.
We convinced hiring managers to share their most awkward interviews, in the hopes that none of us repeat these mistakes. Read on, and share your worst job interview in the comments:
No. 10: "Once I had a candidate who was so nervous they broke out into a rash during the interview. At one point there was so much sweat on their brow, I wanted to hand them a towel." Click here to see a not-so-obvious fix to this potentially stinky problem.

My biggest beauty pet peeve? When celebrities wear clothes or makeup that totally wash them out. Take a look at this. Not attractive, right? I mean, she usually looks gorgeous, but that is not a good look for her.
Then I talked to celebrity hair color expert Jill Kirsh, who said we all make those mistakes once in a while (fiiine, even me). Luckily, it's really easy to avoid looking washed out. All it takes is finding the right clothes for your hair color -- who would've thought, right?
So check out Kirsh's tips below to see what clothes you should be sticking to. Or jump right to it here by clicking on your hair color:
Black hair:
While it would be nice to have a perfect hourglass figure like Dita Von Teese, girls with black hair can look just as stunning in crisp, clean colors with a blue base. Think cobalt blue, royal purple, true red and emerald green.

ColorsCan You Be Both Pretty and Smart? We Found The Answer
By BeautyRiot Diva | Fashion – Thu, Mar 10, 2011 9:31 PM EST
The answer is yes (you'll see why below), but just for argument's sake, let's say you had to choose between beauty and brains. Which would you pick?
Well, the pros of being pretty are sort of obvious. Life's good when you're hot (as this celebrity knows well). You get more attention and better perks than someone who is frumpy and spends all her time with her nose buried in a book.
On the other hand, if you're smart, guys will actually want to talk to you, not just stare at your lady parts. And since most men already find brainy girls attractive, you won't have to worry about spending money on Botox to look good.
But then we did some digging, and we found these 15 smartest celebrities in Hollywood. They're totally gorgeous and seriously intelligent, and they prove you don't have to choose between the two. Keep reading to see our top 7 picks (or you can click here to see the entire countdown).
Coming in at No. 7: Emma Watson
- She attended the renowned Dragon School
Recently, Jennifer Aniston shocked us all by stepping out with a new bob haircut. It was short, straight and super gorgeous. And while we were fans of her longer hair, we just can't get over how pretty this shorter bob looks on her.
In fact, we loved her bob so much we decided to dedicate an entire post to the best celebrity bobs right now (click here to see all of our favorites). There's the angled bob, the sleek bob, the wavy bob and the "lob" (when I hear that word, all I can think of is this celebrity). We even included a gorgeous faux bob, which you can check out below.
#6: Jessica Alba
This might be the chicest bob I've ever seen. It just looks so ... effortless, don't you think? All it takes is a bit of smoothing cream and a flat iron. See how to style it here.

Now here's a flapper bob done right. It totally makes me wish I lived in the '20s, but at least now I have a great excuse to have a retro-themed party, right? See howSpring Trend Swaps: "Love This? Then Try This"

Confused about which spring beauty trends you should be wearing? Then you're going to love this guide (although I'm guessing you'll probably love this one too).
Here's why: Instead of forcing you to scour multiple fashion and beauty blogs for your spring look, we took your favorite fall trends and found the perfect match for spring -- a trend swap, if you will.
All you have to do is skim the list below (or click here to see the entire guide), pick your faves and get, um, "trendifying."
1. If you loved red lipstick, try coral
Spring is a great time to try a slightly softer look, but don't worry, coral is not a wimpy color. This red/orange/pink shade will definitely add some pop to your look (see what I mean?) and it's THE lipstick shade for spring. One to try: CoverGirl Lip Perfection Lipstick in Flame, $6.
2. If you loved grey clothes, try honeysuckle
I know, it's a big leap from grey to bright honeysuckle, but go with me for a moment. Grey was one of theWill Kate Middleton's Wedding Day Makeup Match Her Non-Traditional Wedding Dress?

If you haven't already heard, there are rumors that Kate Middleton is going to wear an Alexander McQueen gown on her wedding day. (I bet that got the royal family talking.) I don't know about you, but that conjures up scary images of the princess walking down the aisle looking something like this. Yikes.
What does this mean for her wedding day makeup? It totally changes everything. Before this, everyone thought she would stick to her trademark look seen here (soft, natural and oh so pretty). But now I wonder if she will opt for something more edgy, modern and shocking, something this celebrity is known better for.
Regardless of what she wears on her big day, I'm pretty sure this royal wedding is about to go down in history as one of the trendiest weddings we've ever seen. And as long as she stays away from looking like this celebrity, she'll look gorgeous no matter what.
Do you think Kate Middleton's wedding day makeup will match her wedding dress? Leave your

I don't know how this happened, but it's already March -- which means spring is right around the corner. Now whether you're totally excited about this or not (I was, once I saw how cute this spring trend is), you can do one of two things: sit back and let this gorgeous season pass you by, or take advantage of these five easy tips to be the prettiest girl at every occasion -- special or not -- this spring.
1. Brighten your skin
If you start now, you can totally steal the complexion of this gorgeous celebrity by the time spring actually rolls around. Look for moisturizers or serums that have ingredients like Vitamin C, and make your own mask with honey and mashed bananas (or try this other facial recipe) to get rid of dry winter skin and bring on that springtime glow.
2. Switch to peach-colored eyeliner
Lining the inner rims of your eyes with a peachy eye pencil helps create the illusion of looking more bright-eyed and awake, which is the perfect accessory to any
