Now that the weather's getting cooler (as are these trends), I've got a perfect excuse to buy that gorgeous pair of boots I have my eyes on right now. I tried them on in the store last week and I fell in L-O-V-E.

Which is a huge deal for me, because I always have a hard time finding a shoe that looks good on me. Luckily, I was able to fix that problem by talking to Aly Scott, founder of StyleChic. She provided this shoe guide to make fall shoe shopping a breeze.

And if you're still unsure of what your perfect shoe is, buy a pair of stilettos. They're universally flattering and super hot. (Especially with this outfit.)

If your legs are on the shorter and slimmer side, the most important thing to remember is height, height, height. This means "platforms, wedges and heels without straps," Scott says. Can you believe it's October already? I'm still in denial a bit (although this awesome list was a bit of a wakeup call), but I have decided to get a jump on my Halloween costume. Most other years I wait until the last minute, and then I'm stuck strapping on some fairy wings or painting whiskers on my face in a quick attempt to look like I dressed up.

Well not this year, people! This year I'm picking a costume from this list and doing it up right. No more thrown together getups or people asking "so ... what are you?" Man, I hate that question, don't you?

I've had my share of beauty emergencies in the past (a few even made this list of major disasters) but I've never had to deal with a huge hole in my nose. Yep, I just found out that recreational use of cocaine can create a nasty, caved-in hole on the inside of your nose. Glad I don't have to worry about that -- but certain celebs (cough, Paris Hilton, Lindsay Lohan) do.

UK Celebrity Tara Palmer-Tomkinson after her nose collapsed from excessive cocaine abuse.How does it happen? "Cocaine abuse leads to a perforated septum that ultimately becomes a collapsed nose," celebrity plastic surgeon Dr. Toby Mayer says. And a "cocaine nose may never look normal again, even after multiple surgical attempts."

This discovery is causing doctors to beg cocaine-abusing stars like this celeb and this celeb to "stop the abuse" before it's too late. What do you think? Will this convince celebs to stop snorting?
