    • Unintentionally Hysterical: Zac Efron's Fashion Campaign

So guess who has a brand new fashion modeling gig? Zac Efron. Yes, Mr. "High School Musical" himself is the new face of John John Denim, and his first ad campaign for the brand is kinda funny in that "this-isn't-meant-to-be-funny-but-it-so-is" way. Basically, Efron plays a James Dean-type rebel-without-a-cause who hangs out in parking lots wearing leather vests. Oh, and girls fawn all over him.

When I first saw the pictures of Efron in a muscle tank and tight jeans lounging in the bed of a truck with a harem of girls I thought, what year is this? Or rather, what decade is this? Efron, staring at the camera with crazy serious bedroom eyes, looks like something straight out of a 1999 Enrique Iglesias music video. It is 2012, right?

Don't get me wrong -- I love Efron and applaud lesser-known label John John Denim for scoring a pretty big celeb for their campaign … but it just seems

    • Betsey Johnson Bounces Back from Bankruptcy with Affordable Clothing Line

It was a sad day in April when fashion designer Betsey Johnson filed for bankruptcy and announced most of her stores would close. We couldn't imagine a world without Johnson and her outrageous dresses … but now we don't have to. She's back in action with a new line. Word is the dresses will retail between $99 and $249, and will likely launch in stores this spring.

We couldn't be more excited. Though we were sad when Johnson filed for Chapter Nine, we could never really afford most of her pretty, girly-girl/punk rock dresses anyway. (The average cost of a Betsey Johnson party dress was about $350 -- yikes.) Johnson's new line is by no means cheap, but at least it's a little more reasonably priced -- and takes into account her younger (sometimes cash-strapped) fans.

There aren't any images of the new dress line yet, but she is slated to show during New York Fashion Week in September. Until

    • Isaac Mizrahi Designs Clothing Line Inspired by … a Chevy?

These days, unusual fashion designer collaborations are par for the course. Karl Lagerfeld has teamed up with H&M, Jonathan Adler has collaborated with Mattel, and Jean Paul Gaultier has joined forces with Diet Coke … so is it really surprising that fashion designer Isaac Mizrahi is creating a limited-edition clothing line inspired by the 2013 Chevy Malibu?

Mizrahi told WWD, "If you look at the car, there are certain angles, lines, and thoughts that evoke ideas about clothes." Clearly, that's what makes Mizrahi a successful fashion designer. Because when we look at a Chevy, we see … well, a car -- not a line of fashionable dresses. Don't get us wrong, there's nothing wrong with Chevrolet … but we don't exactly associate it with high fashion. But that doesn't mean Mizrahi's collection won't be completely fabulous.

    • Fashion Trucks: The New Way to Shop?

It used to be that small trucks were only good for moving, handing out ice cream, and lending books. Not anymore. First, people got gourmet-on-the-go with the rise of food trucks. And now it seems like the fashion industry is hopping on board the truck trend. Only instead of burgers and fries, they're serving up clothes and accessories.

These fashion trucks cropping up all over the nation have us beyond excited. Take Styleline in New York City for example. It's a potato chip truck transformed into an '80s glam shop stocked with hard-to-find accessories like a $430 crystal-and-fringe necklace. Or Bootleg, a shoe boutique in Austin, Texas that offers cute polka dot flats and gold lace-up sandals. The idea is to make the shopping experience more personal and intimate, while encouraging independent business. After all, it's a lot easier and cheaper to own a truck than a brick and mortar store. And the trucks can move around, bringing

    • Is Lisa Frank Making a Comeback?

Remember in elementary school when your Lisa Frank trapper keeper was the equivalent of a Chanel purse? It was the ultimate accessory. Well, now it seems that those signature purple pandas and smiling orca whales may actually have a place in the fashion world. No, really. Lisa Frank is making a comeback … or at least attempting to, and we kinda like it.

First, there's the Lisa Frank app, which launched in mid-July, and allows you to adorn your photos with her trademark stickers and then share them on Facebook and Twitter. Most recently, the elusive Lisa Frank herself (yes, she's actually a real woman) gave a rare interview to The Daily. She reminisced on the beginnings of her rainbow and unicorn empire, and suggested that reality TV could be on the horizon. Frank cited "Project Runway" as one of her favorite shows, and we could totally see her prancing puppies and bunnies easily translating into an awesome PR challenge.

    • Kardashians Launch a Plus-Size Denim Line

The Kardashians get a lot of flack for their bajillion business ventures -- including a shoe line, perfumes, and nail polishes, to name a few -- and it kinda seems like they will slap their name on anything that sells. But, we'll admit: the launch of their plus-size denim line, Kardashian Kurves, actually seems pretty kool. Sorry, cool.

The line will be sold in Sears, and in an effort to drum up some extra excitement there is an official contest, where one winner will pose with the Kardashian sisters on an official ad campaign. To enter on Facebook, submit a full-length photo of yourself "along with what being 'kurvy' and 'konfident' means to you." The deadline is July 30.

Sure, it can be argued that the Kardashians are outrageously overexposed, and slapping a "k" in front of all those "c" words drives us nuts, but there is a definite lack of fashionable plus-sized lines out there, particularly denim. And while Khloe,
