We're in the home stretch of New York Fashion Week! As Shine's senior fashion and beauty editor, I'm getting the scoop backstage and attending as many fashion shows as I can to highlight three eye-catching things I see each day. Here are my favorite snapshots from day 8:
Floral prints abound at Nanette Lepore. Photo by Getty Images
1. Mix-and-match florals at Nanette Lepore
Each of these aqua and coral designs are beautiful on their own, but together they're a delight. The modern, structured top would look chic with skinny dark jeans and heels, and I'd love to wear that skirt with a simple t-shirt and sandals.
Famous names checked out the drool-worthy gowns at Marchesa. Photo by Getty Images
2. Marchesa's star-studded front row
Marchesa's dresses look so insanely gorgeous on the red carpet at award shows, but they are truly a sight to behold up close. Clearly celebrities agree, because nearly every famous person in town showed up to check out the latest collection by designers Georgina Chapman and Keren Craig. From left to right we spotted Rachel Zoe, Kelly Osbourne, Michelle Trachtenberg, Rachel Roy, Sarah Hyland, Tyra

Rebecca Taylor: We are just beyond swamped. It's a little bit nutty here at the moment because of course there's the show but then our entire (fall) collection needs to be ready for line open. It's very hectic and it's all about multitasking.
S: What was your inspiration for your spring collection?
RT: I wanted it to

Before Angela Chase made it mainstream cool, we were already running out to buy crimson hair dye thanks to Shirley Manson. From her eyeliner and fishnets to her mod shift dresses and combat boots, we've always loved the look of the Scottish Garbage singer in the '90s, and nearly 20 years and five albums later we're still inspired by Manson's nonchalant vibe that's the perfect blend of of feminine and strong. Here's a refresher course on her unique style. By Joanna Douglas, Senior Fashion & Beauty EditorRead More »from Shirley Manson’s Dark, Sexy Style Makes Us Yearn for the ‘90s

Minnie Mouse gets a high-end makeover for Barneys New York. Photo courtesy of BarneysDepartment stores go all out for their holiday campaigns, and this year Barneys New York is partnering with Disney for their festive extravaganza. Photos and even a short film picture iconic characters like Minnie Mouse and Daisy Duck walking the runway in designer clothing, but they're barely recognizable. In fact, their bodies have been stretched so long and thin their heads are bobbling above figures much slimmer than Barbie's.Read More »from Minnie Mouse, Daisy Duck Whittled Down for Barneys's Holiday Campaign
Is Minnie Mouse 'Hot'? Disney Sells a T-shirt that Says So
According to Women's Wear Daily, Barneys collaborated with Disney to take their characters into a realistic fashion world for their "Electric Holiday" campaign, set to debut at their Madison Avenue flagship store on November 14. The highlight is a film, also debuting in November, about Minnie Mouse's fantasy to attend Paris fashion week. As such, our favorite animated characters have ditched their signature garments for high-end clothing to wear down the runway. Mickey Mouse will be dressed in

DSW has partnered with Disney on The Glass Slipper collection, inspired by Cinderella. Photo courtesy of DSWWomen have never been more obsessed with fancy shoes, and designers have found a new way to capitalize on the fantasy: give shoppers their own version of Cinderella's iconic glass slippers. On the heels of similar Disney-esque styles from Christian Louboutin and Marc Jacobs, DSW has partnered with Disney on The Glass Slipper Collection, a limited edition line of evening and wedding shoes inspired by the 1950 Disney animated classic film "Cinderella." Shoes range in price from $59.95 to $89.95 and each pair comes with an embossed carriage logo and a signature blue jewel on the sole-perfect for shoe lovers and Disney collectors alike. If that connection isn't enough, The Glass Slipper collection is scheduled to hit DSW stores and DSW.com on October 1, just before the release of the "Cinderella Diamond Edition," Blu-Ray at the stroke of midnight on October 2. This is one time Cinderella will not be leaving her pretty shoe behind!Read More »from Cinderella Shoe Trend: DSW, Louboutin Take on Princess Heels

Zephyrs is suing Victoria's Secret over their Lace Top stockings. Photo courtesy of Victoria's SecretVictoria's Secret and their parent company, Limited Brands, Inc., are being slapped with a $15 million lawsuit by Zephyrs, a hosiery supplier they used to work with. According to PR Newswire, Zephyrs claims the lingerie giant has continued to use photos of their products on Victoria's Secret packaging and in-store displays even though they've severed ties with the brand. In addition to false advertising, Zephyrs feels Victoria's Secret have been tricking their customers by selling cheaper, Canadian-made knockoff stockings with images of the more expensive, Italian-made Zephyrs products.Read More »from Victoria’s Secret Sued for $15 Million by Former Hosiery Supplier

Hello, and welcome back to Find it Fridays! My latest challenge for Shine's weekly fashion scavenger hunt came from a Shine reader named Cathy, who is on the hunt for slouchy flat boots. Here is her request:
"I have been looking for a pair of strappy/slouchy boots since last year. I found a pair on the Bloomingdale's site but the boots are not listed as an item to purchase and I can't find them on any site that I have searched. I want to wear them with jeans, leggings, even dresses. I have back problems so I have been staying away from anything with a 4-inch heel. I am a boot fanatic. I feel feminine and sexy in boots, and would like to add a new addition to my wardrobe. I would pay up to $250 for a pair as long as they don't look cheap. I would prefer dark brown leather but I will consider any brown color or even suede, flat heel. I wear a 7/7.5. Mid-calf would be preferred."
Hi, Cathy! Thanks so much for your submission. I love a lady who knows exactly what she wants, and thisRead More »from Find it Fridays: Slouchy Brown Boots

1. Look out for obvious indicators
Spotting replica handbags used to be simple; check the hardware, logos and material. Lightweight metal accents, slightly skewed logos and cheap materials are still the first lines of defense for warding off fakes, but with today's higher-quality knockoffs, it's a case of
