Ethan Miller/Getty ImagesFox delivered some very surprising news this afternoon: Talk show host/comedienne Ellen DeGeneres will serve as the fourth judge on Season 9 of "American Idol." DeGeneres will sit on a panel alongside Simon Cowell, Randy Jackson, and Kara DioGuardi after the auditions in January 2010.
"I'm thrilled to be the new judge on American Idol," said DeGeneres in a statement. "I've watched since the beginning, and I've always been a huge fan. So getting this job is a dream come true, and think of all the money I'll save from not having to text in my vote."
Ha! We've always loved her sense of humor, and it will be nice to see a lady on board who can snap back with a witty retort at Simon instead of mumbling something incoherent. Sorry, Paula. You were great in your day, but even you must admit you weren't at your most lucid recently on the judging panel.
We can't wait to see how the dynamic is switched up on the show between judges. We have a feeling that Ellen will be a bit of a softie

Jason Merritt/Getty ImagesFemale celebs--even Disney stars--have shed their clothes in front of the camera to take cell phone pictures and make sex tapes. One might think that sexy starlet Megan Fox could join their ranks in the future but not so fast! Just because the 23-year-old actress says she was into kissing another female in "Jennifer's Body," doesn't mean she'd be comfortable making a sex tape.Read More »from Megan Fox says no to sex tapes and nudity
"Ugh, never!" says Fox. "That's the last thing I want to see-what I look like having sex. It would take one shot of me not looking good and I would not be able to have sex ever again, because I would always just see myself looking like a hippo having sex." And that goes for on the big screen too. "I can't ever imagine myself doing nudity in a film," she says. "It lives forever, especially now, with the Internet. I just can't. I just can't."
Back in 2008 some paparazzi photos surfaced of Fox allegedly nude. Upon closer inspection, you could see that the star was wearing flesh-colored undergarments, but she was

IMDBIn honor of Fashion Week, Turner Classic Movies enlisted designers Todd Oldham and Manolo Blahnik to compile a list of their favorite fashion films. We've never found a list we entirely agreed with, and this one is no exception. Here are their picks:Read More »from Turner Classic Movie’s top fashion trendsetting movies: Do you agree?
1. "Pandora's Box" (1929)
2. "Letty Lynton" (1932)
3. "It Happened One Night" (1934)
4. "Pat and Mike" (1952)
5. "Rear Window" (1954)
6. "Rebel Without a Cause" (1955)
7. "And God Created Woman..." (1956)
8. "Auntie Mame" (1958)
9. "Breakfast at Tiffany's" (1961)
10. "Bonnie and Clyde" (1967)
11. "The Thomas Crown Affair" (1968)
12. "Shaft" (1971)
13. "Annie Hall" (1977)
14. "Saturday Night Fever" (1977)
15. "Flashdance" (1983)
We commend many of their choices. Audrey Hepburn in "Breakfast at Tiffany's" is basically the reason every woman has a little black dress in her closet. Ladies still try to pull off berets like Faye Dunaway in "Bonnie and Clyde." Diane Keaton did menswear as womenswear the way no one else could.
Today was the much-anticipated season premiere of "The Tyra Banks Show" where Miss Tyra herself promised to bare her real hair. Tyra loves getting "real" in front of her studio audience. She's gone on-air without makeup, she's shown of her cellulite, gone braless to prove her breasts are real, and even pointed out the airbrushing done on her photo shoots. Today Tyra began her fourth season without her weave. Come with us on a slideshow through the episode (and pardon the screen grabs). And don't worry if you missed it-Banks will ditch her weave for the whole week and during random episodes throughout the season.Read More »from Tyra bares her real hair

Dennis BassoWhile Naomi Campbell once posed in a PETA campaign declaring she'd "rather go naked than wear fur," it seems the supermodel has gone back on her word. Campbell is now hawking fur for Dennis Basso's fall collection. She claims she's not a hypocrite--that she actually quit PETA years ago--but is being called a hypocrite really worse than someone who admits to liking and wearing fur?Read More »from Naomi Campbell would rather wear fur again than go naked
"When PETA started targeting Anna Wintour and Karl Lagerfeld and putting dead animals on their plate, I felt that they went too far and I thought, I didn't want to be a part of this campaign anymore," Campbell Naomi Campbell and her supermodel buddies in a 1994 PETA adsaid back in 2007. "I do like wearing fur and I still do." When the folks over at PETA discovered her wearing fur on the runway again back in 2004 they decided they had no use for her anymore. "She may have a temper, but she doesn't have to take it out on animals," they said. "What good is a pretty face if you've got no heart?"
While we have to agree that oftentimes PETA is over-the-top with its ads

Have you guys heard about Fashion's Night Out in New York City? Or seen the commercials for it? It's basically a kick-off to Fashion Week that's an attempt to reinvigorate the fashion industry with supposedly over 700 retailers, big and small, keeping their doors open late and hosting events so we can enjoy the shopping experience. It's a great sentiment, and we love that proceeds from the commemorative t-shirts will be donated to the National September 11 Memorial & Museum. But the fact of the matter is many of us are struggling financially right now and can't afford a new Prada bag... or even a new Kohl's bag for that matter!
In covering this fashion extravaganza, we couldn't even figure out how, as we ran into a zillion questions and concerns. We didn't even quite understand the logistics of it. Or if anyone would actually show up.
Here are the 12 things that seem wrong about Fashion's Night Out.

Getty ImagesA few weeks ago I got the Gardasil shot to protect myself against Human Papillomavirus (HPV). No, I don't sleep around--I've been in a committed relationship for nearly two years, but I still want protection. Yes, I am technically too old to get the shot--I'm 28 and the vaccine has only been tested and approved for women up to the age of 26. But here's why I'm spending $540 out of pocket to be injected three times with a really painful shot (my shoulder still hurts a few weeks later).Read More »from Why I just got the Gardasil shot
Human Papillomavirus is the most common sexually transmitted disease (there are more than 100 types), but many people don't know much about it or worry about it. You may have been exposed to HPV and not even been aware of it. Why do I say that? Because at least 75 percent of the reproductive-age population has been infected with one or more types of genital HPV, and up to 6.2 million new infections occur each year. It's approximated that 20 million Americans are infected with the genital form of the
Daily MailYou may have seen Madonna's daughter Lourdes, who is 12 years old, featured in Madge's new "Celebration" video. Supposedly there is an alternate version of the video where Lourdes is dressed up in her mom's famous wedding dress outfit from "Like a Virgin." Is this really appropriate for a preteen?Read More »from How do you grow up being Madonna’s daughter?
It's impossible to know how much of Madonna's current or past life Lourdes knows about or is exposed to. Is she aware that her mom has a sex book? That she was known for simulating masturbation on stage? That she has upset various cultures and religious leaders by pushing their limits in her music videos and performances? We wonder what it must be like for Lourdes growing up with Madonna as her mother.
Lourdes joins her mom on stage in Israel. They almost look like sisters. Many might argue that Madonna has set a horrible example for her daughter by being overly sexual and not acting her age or being an appropriate and responsible mother figure. Others might suggest that Lourdes will grow up particularly enlightened with such an open and free-spirited parent. One
Noel Vasquez/Getty ImagesIt is being reported that DJ AM aka Adam Goldstein was found dead in his New York City apartment this afternoon. After being unable to reach him, a friend went to his apartment and called police to gain entry. There they found his body and drug paraphernalia, specifically prescription pills, and are investigating a potential overdose. Goldstein was scheduled to DJ at Dusk in Atlantic City Tuesday and then tonight at Rain in Las Vegas. Goldstein is highly respected in the music industry. He is directly responsible for making the DJ part of the overall celebrity scene and the transformation of DJs as rock stars in the late '90s and 2000s.Read More »from Rest in peace DJ AM

Astrid Stawiarz/Getty ImagesEvery celebrity is different when it comes to how much of their personal lives they share with the public. Some avoid paparazzi at all costs and refuse to discuss their children or their relationships. Others talk incessantly about where and how frequently they have sex, or openly trash their exes. When it comes to getting arrested or heading to rehab, most stars keep quiet.Read More »from Do celebs owe us an explanation for their addictions and breakdowns?
Several weeks ago rampant rumors spread about Mischa Barton suffering a nervous breakdown. Supposedly this led to her being placed under involuntary psychiatric hold at LA's Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, and caused her to miss the premiere event for her new show, "Beautiful People," and pushed back production. Barton now adamantly denies the breakdown and any substance problems, claiming she had "terrible" wisdom tooth surgery. As for why she was removed from her West Hollywood home July 15 by police, Barton remains vague.
"I went through a tough spot where everything compounded on me, and it was like a perfect
