Julia Louis-Dreyfus often straightens her signature curly hair.Curly hair was trendy in the '80s (hello, perms!), but nowadays many women spend countless hours and dollars smoothing and straightening their curls (think flat irons, Japanese straightening, and risky Brazilian blowouts.) We'll admit, straight hair may be lend itself to more styling options and be more manageable--especially in heat and humidity. But natural curls (not those contrived curling iron ringlets) are truly gorgeous and stand out in a crowd... which is why they're great for celebrities! Yet stars like Sarah Jessica Parker, Natalie Portman, Shakira, Keri Russell, Alicia Keys, Taylor Swift, Debra Messing, Mariah Carey, Minnie Driver, Andie MacDowell, Elisabeth Shue, Rebecca Gayheart are constantly straightening their natural curls.

The new Urban Outfitters catalog features two women kissingOne Million Moms strikes again! The same homophobic group who tried and failed to get lesbian talk show host Ellen DeGeneres removed from being JC Penney's spokesperson has now targeted retail chain Urban Outfitters. Why? Because UO dared to show two women kissing in their new catalog. According to the Advocate, One Million Moms posted the following information on their Facebook page:

WARNING! The April 2012 catalog from Urban Outfitters has begun arriving in home mailboxes the last couple of days. On page two of this catalog is a picture of two women kissing in a face holding embrace! The ad and catalog are clearly geared toward teenagers. Before your child has a chance to read the newest Urban Outfitters catalog call to unsubscribe from their mailing list at 1-800-282-2200, and then throw it away. Celebrities are retouched beyond recognition for ads and magazine covers and we hate it. Besides establishing completely unreasonable standards of beauty, these retouched photos make women look like Barbie dolls. We searched high and low for freckles, smile lines, and knee caps (seriously, editors airbrush out everything!) and compiled refreshing images of stars as they really appear, without an art director "improving" their faces and bodies.
