    • Oscars Red Carpet: The Best and Worst Dressed

It's finally here! The Oscars! The red carpet superbowl! Yes, there were loads of beautiful, ultra-sparkly gowns, millions of dollars of jewels, and perfectly crafted updos. But there were also a lot of boring, tacky, and uninspired gowns. There was also an abundance of white dresses, a polarizing hue that made some actresses look like stunning angels and others look completely washed out. Behold, the very best and worst dressed of the night. By Joanna Douglas, Senior Fashion & Beauty Editor

    • Overalls Are Back with a Vengeance

The '90s are back, and they're bringing their overallsNineties style has returned in a big way, with flannel shirts, floral babydolls, and Dr. Martens combat boots slowly taking over our wardrobes. But there's one item we wore in the 1990s we truly haven't missed: overalls. Remember wearing overalls?! We had long ones, short ones, skirt ones, colorful ones, corduroy ones. Sometimes we'd even leave one strap unbuckled for cool points. (We know, these are memories best left forgotten.) We've seen them pop up again from time to time, but thankfully they never caught on. Then 3.1 Phillip Lim, one of the hottest, trend-setting designer brands, sent multiple pairs of overalls down the spring runways in pink suede, and even black leather! Ugh. They just hit retailers for a whopping $1,400 and are astonishingly already sold out. Other designers have followed suit, as Moschino, Isabel Marant, and MM6 by Maison Martin Margiela all have overalls in their spring collections, and bigger mass brands like Guess, Diesel, Joe's Jeans, AG Adriano

    • Celebs Reveal Their Red Carpet Style Crushes

Some of our celebrity style crushesIt's Valentine's Day, and you're never too old for crushes... especially style crushes! In the midst of award season, we asked every celebrity, designer, and fashion expert we saw at New York Fashion Week to name their celebrity style crush. It may come as no surprise that Jennifer Lawrence, Rihanna, and Cate Blanchett were some of the top picked ladies. Check out the full list below, and please name your celeb style crush in the comments!

      Rashida Jones -
"Julianne Moore I think is amazing, always. She takes chances. Cate Blanchett, same thing."

      Katherine Heigl -
"I always love Angelina Jolie, I always love Jennifer Connelly. I always love Nicole Kidman because she can pull off stuff I could never pull off."

Miley Cyrus - "Rihanna always looks good, but that's a given. And you never really want to see what she's wearing, it's what's under it that looks so good. It's her, not the clothes."

Jada Pinkett Smith - "I love RiRi. I love me some Rihanna. What I love is she's fearless. She

    • Three Things We Loved Today: New York Fashion Week Day 7

Today was the last full day of New York Fashion Week! Tear! We've loved showing you the hottest fashion and beauty looks this season, and hope you've enjoyed following along! Many big-name designers presented today (Michael Kors, Marchesa, and Rachel Zoe to name a few), and we also spotted loads of celebs in the front row making a mental shopping list (we're talking to you Katherine Heigl, Hilary Swank, Zoe Saldana, Jada Pinkett Smith, and Willow Smith.) Meanwhile, backstage we were getting pointers on creating a beautiful makeup look using all affordable drugstore products (hell, yes!). Without further ado: here are our Day 7 highlights:

      J. Mendel fall 2013

      1. Velvet at J. Mendel

Perhaps it's the '90s fashion resurgence, but we want to make like George Costanza and drape ourselves in velvet. Preferably in an standout color like chartreuse.

Miley Cyrus hits New York Fashion Week

      2. Miley Cyrus at Rachel Zoe

There was no shortage of celebs today, but no one makes an entrance quite like a pop star. See all the people behind Miley waiting to

    • Three Things We Loved Today: New York Fashion Week Day 6

New York Fashion Week, and is chugging along, and today's fashion shows showcased some stunning hair and makeup, inspirational designs, and loads of celebrities. Here are our favorite moments from Day 6:

The beauty look at Badgley Mischka

      1. Hitchcock blondes at Badgley Mischka

We loved the old Hollywood styling, inspired by the likes of Tippi Hedren in "The Birds." From muted red lips to the messy chignons, this classic style cannot be topped. The secret to this makeup look: pale blue eyeliner on the bottom lid.

We saw Matt Damon and he was hot2. MATT DAMON!

We saw quite the mix of celebrities today. Katherine Heigl, Jada Pinkett Smith, Vanessa Hudgens, Selita Ebanks, Alexa Ray Joel, Christine Baranski, Olympic gymnast Aly Raisman, and Morgan Saylor (who plays the daughter on "Homeland") to name a few. But we had the ultimate sighting backstage at the Naeem Khan show. Matt Damon! OK, so he was doing an interview with E!, but he was looking straight into our eyes as we snapped this photo. What was he doing at fashion week??? Apparently a big

    • Three Things We Loved Today: New York Fashion Week Day 5

We're past the halfway point of New York Fashion Week, and today's fashion show and event lineup made all our friends jealous. Any day when you get your hair and nails done for free, sit behind Anna Wintour and Grace Coddington at the Donna Karan show, and get to interview Betsey Johnson is a pretty awesome one in our book. After a full day in the tents, we've rounded up our top three highlights:

We saw this handsome dude backstage

      1. Male models!
It took us a couple days, but we finally spotted some! They are hot, they are goofy, and some of them are actually straight! This one was in the middle of a card game and couldn't stop nervous-laughing. Aww.

Models doing crunches at Betsey Johnson

      2. The Betsey Johnson workout

Forget bankruptcy and store closings--NOTHING is going to keep Betsey from putting on a show. With just a few weeks to spare, the spunky designer announced she would indeed be back this season, and was she ever. "Betsey Johnson Kicks Ass" was the theme of her fall show, which showcased workout gear, neon sneakers, and boxing glove-shaped

    • Three Things We Loved Today: New York Fashion Week Day 4

It's the 4th day of New York Fashion Week, and we spent this sunny Sunday hitting up more fashion shows. Today's lineup showcased some of our favorite lady designers. (Hey, if they're good enough for Kate Middleton and Michelle Obama, they're good enough for us!) From fabulous outerwear to the prettiest ladies who strut the catwalk, here are our Day 4 highlights:

      Models at Diane von Furstenberg

      1. The gorgeous models at Diane von Furstenberg

We're sure DVF has her pick of the litter, but damn these girls are beautiful. Their perfect soft waves, bright pink lipstick, and chic '70s-style outfits don't hurt either.

      Shoes at Tracy Reese

      2. The awesome stilettos at Tracy Reese
What is this bizarre V shape? We saw them walk the runway in red, blue, and black leather and suede. We're loving it. V-pumps are the new toe cleavage. Or something like that.

      Outerwear at DKNY

      3. The coats at DKNY
From quilted leather bombers, to pepto pink and oversized menswear styles, there was a jacket for every occasion. We'd settle for... all of them.

      And

    • "Girls" Style: Get Hannah's Bird Dress and Apple Pendant

"Girls" is back on HBO, and after each episode we'll be highlighting one specific outfit we love. Tonight Hannah's vintage-looking bird dress caught our eye. We weren't sold on the color, but we love a kitschy print. And her tiny apple pendant necklace didn't go unnoticed! We're pretty sure we found the exact same one for under five bucks. Let's take another look at Hannah's outfit and how to scoop up similar adorable pieces with a click of the mouse. By Joanna Douglas, Senior Fashion and Beauty Editor

    • Three Things We Loved Today: New York Fashion Week Day 3

We woke up on the third day of New York Fashion Week to a winter wonderland! While part of us wished we could stay cozy with a cup of hot cocoa, we bundled up in our cold weather gear and attended a busy day of fashion shows. (Life: it ain't so bad.) From awesome nail art to red carpet-worthy gowns, check out our favorite three moments of Day 3.

      Rebecca Taylor's menswear-inspired fall show

      1. Boyfriend gear at Rebecca Taylor

The typically ultra-fem designer swapped her light silks and florals for more masculine pieces this season. Are you the type who loves stealing your man's clothes, but wish they fit your body better? Us too. We'll be trying this out.

      The rad nails at Libertine

      2. Gemstone nails at Libertine

The fall collection was inspired by art, and the fingertips were no exception. A gold lacquer served as the base for dozens of crystals of assorted colors and sizes We wish we had the patience to do this at home! If you do, use two coats of metallic polish and apply crystals from the cuticle cascading upwards, leaving the tips clear.

      Christian Siriano Fall 2013

      3. A night

    • Three Things We Loved Today: New York Fashion Week Day 2

It's the second day of New York Fashion Week, and we're hitting up all the fashion shows and events and hand-picking the most beautiful and truly awesome things we see. Mother nature has thrown us a curve ball, as winter storm Nemo blasts through New York City, but fashion stops for no one! Behold, Friday's highlights:

      Monika Chiang Fall 2013

      1. Banana clips at Monika Chiang

We love this punky spin on a ponytail, and we're delighted to report that they're insanely easy to construct. Just apply some dry shampoo and pomade to your hair for grip and texture, and slide in an '80s-style banana clip, available for really cheap at most drugstores. So cute!

Russian fashion writer Miroslava Duma brightened our day

      2. A colorful coat outside Jason Wu

Snow, sleet, and wild winds forced typically chic editors to wear sweatshirts, parkas, wellies, and yes, even Uggs. But as we were walking into the Jason Wu show we spotted a cheery colorblocked coat and cozy matching beanie that just made us smile. A closer look revealed the woman to be 27-year old Miroslava Duma, a
