Getty ImagesEver wondered what other Shine readers are wearing? We've finally asked in our new monthly series: What Are You Wearing Today?
Each month we'll have a different theme and a dedicated space (on the right side of the Shine fashion page) where readers can upload photos of their clothing, accessories, and beauty look. Last month's topic was nails, and we received nearly 100 submissions--we even got a photo from "Jersey Shore" star Snooki! But our favorite manis belonged to a Shine reader named Mari Borrega--her polka dot and rhinestone tips won the title of Shine Reader Look of the Month. Take a look at all the awesome nails Shine readers were rocking last month.
This month's topic is EMERALD GREEN. It's Pantone's official color of 2013 and we're already seeing the shade everywhere, from classy dresses and handbags to playful rain boots and nails. Please send photos (through email or Twitter) of how you're wearing emerald green. We're dying to see the creative ways you're showing of our

Knockoff of Michelle Obama Election Night Dress Sells Out in 2 DaysRecently we were delighted to see one of Obama's inexpensive standbys getting a lot of use. She wore the same arrow-printed dress from Target's exclusive Merona brand twice on vacation in Hawaii. We spotted her wearing the pink and black sleeveless dress on December 22 deplaning Air Force One in Honolulu and again on January 5 as she boarded the plane to return to Washington D.C.. If the FLOTUS is cool with wearing the same dress twice on vacation, we are

Beyonce wore a Norma Kamali one-piece swimsuit last summerDieting and exercising are perhaps the most popular New Years Resolutions, but don't worry if you've indulged on a few too many holiday treats this year. Swimsuits are already trickling onto retail shelves and the spotlight is on one-piece swimwear, not bikinis. Yes, that extra inch to pinch around your tummy can potentially remain hidden all year.
25 Iconic Celebrity Swimsuits
Every stylish celebrity from the curvier gals like Beyonce, Christina Hendricks, and Kim Kardashian, to the skinny minis like Taylor Swift, Kate Moss, and Kirsten Dunst are rocking one-piece bathing suits, or "maillots." As a result, the masses are heading directly to department stores, boutiques, and affordable mass-market shops to scoop up similar styles. The New York Post found that one-piece swimsuit sales are up around 20% in local New York shops, so we decided to consult industry experts to find out why.

By Joanna Douglas, Senior Fashion and Beauty Editor | Fashion – Thu, Jan 3, 2013 12:28 PM ESTLast year yielded a few new trends we liked, some we grew tired of, and many we really never liked (hidden wedge heels inside sneakers just seem so masochistic). Suddenly not feeling your neon clothing anymore (or perhaps you've singed your retinas)? Fear not! Fashion is cyclical and you may want that bright chartreuse dress one day. But personally, we at Shine are taking a much-needed break from these 13 items in 2013. Let us know if you'll be joining us. By Joanna Douglas, Senior Fashion and Beauty Editor

Since holiday gifting is all about buying nice things for others that they maybe wouldn't splurge on for themselves, we've rounded up the most swoon-worthy beauty items on our wish lists. Santa, are you reading?

The new Uniqlo meggings retail for around $24After years of never-ending "leggings as pants" debate (are they suitable for work? Should your shirt cover your butt? Are jeggings more or less acceptable? Are they bad for you?), spandex pants as daywear are now being introduced to a new customer: men. Yes, the questionable bottoms are being stretched to new proportions as high-end designers like Givenchy and Prada as well as mass retailers like Uniqlo, Nike, and Urban Outfitters market leggings for male customers. We've seen ultra-secure guys like Lenny Kravitz, Brits like Russell Brand, and even young pop stars like Justin Bieber wear man leggings (meggings), but are everyday dudes really interested in stretch pants? Sure, guys were once resistant to tight, skinny jeans, but we can't imagine actual meggings on the masses. We asked some male fashion editors to share their perspective on the new phenomenon.
Do you see meggings being just a gimmick or a real trend?
Michael Carl, Market Fashion Editor at Vanity Fair: God, I hope not. IReader Look of the Month: Nails
By Joanna Douglas, Senior Fashion and Beauty Editor | Beauty on Shine – Mon, Dec 10, 2012 7:49 PM ESTWelcome to the December edition of What Are You Wearing Today? This month we asked Shine readers to submit photos of their nails, and received nearly 100 submissions. There were so many great manicures-you ladies have skills! We selected our favorites and compiled them into one fun, colorful gallery. Congrats to Mari Borrega for having the Reader Look of Month! She sent us this photo of a trio of manicures and we loved the variety. From polka dot to rhinestone, bold to pastel, pointy to square, long to short, these tips were our favorites of the bunch.
We enjoyed looking at all your creative manicures, and hope they'll provide inspiration the next time you pick up a bottle of lacquer. If you'd like to submit again, please stay tuned! We are taking a brief hiatus and will return in January with the next What Are You Wearing Today topic. In the mean time, let us know which Shine reader you think has the best nails. Anne Hathaway annoys people, but no one knows whyAnne Hathaway is sweet, pretty, and a good actress. She has great style, and is a fantastic role model for girls, unlike many of her peers. But there's something inexplicable about her that rubs us the wrong way. We conducted an informal survey of friends, colleagues, and the Internet, and discovered that yes, Hathaway gets under people's skin, but it's nearly impossible for anyone to articulate why. Nowadays many people turn to Yahoo! Answers when they have a question that needs solving. We discovered the following questions posed there:
-Am I the only person who doesn't like Anne Hathaway?
-Is it just me, or are there others out there who wonder why people make a big deal over Anne Hathaway?
-Does anyone else find Anne Hathaway extremely annoying?
-Who else thinks Anne Hathaway has an annoying face?
-Do you think Anne Hathaway is overrated?
-Does anyone else hate Anne Hathaway?
-Who gets your vote for most annoying actress going around at the moment? My vote: Anne Hathaway
