Since holiday gifting is all about buying nice things for others that they maybe wouldn't splurge on for themselves, we've rounded up the most swoon-worthy beauty items on our wish lists. Attention last-minute holiday shoppers and ladies who can't resist picking great gifts for themselves: the entire Shine staff has rounded up the very best items we bought in 2012. Sure, guys were once resistant to tight, skinny jeans, but we can't imagine actual meggings on the masses. We asked some male fashion editors to share their perspective on the new phenomenon.

Welcome to the December edition of What Are You Wearing Today? This month we asked Shine readers to submit photos of their nails, and received nearly 100 submissions. There were so many great manicures-you ladies have skills! We selected our favorites and compiled them into one fun, colorful gallery. Congrats to Mari Borrega for having the Reader Look of Month! Anne Hathaway annoys people, but no one knows whyAnne Hathaway is sweet, pretty, and a good actress. She has great style, and is a fantastic role model for girls, unlike many of her peers. But there's something inexplicable about her that rubs us the wrong way. We conducted an informal survey of friends, colleagues, and the Internet, and discovered that yes, Hathaway gets under people's skin, but it's nearly impossible for anyone to articulate why. Nowadays many people turn to Yahoo! Answers when they have a question that needs solving. We discovered the following questions posed there:
