Revel jeans shape your body like SpanxIs there such a thing as the perfect pair of jeans?
In theory, dream denims should look like jeans and work like Spanx, simultaneously slimming your waist while boosting your backside. That's the idea behind Levi's new Revel denim line, which the company claims can actually alter the wearer's shape.
15 Everyday Tricks for Looking and Staying Slim
Levi's Revel line, which debuts in August, capitalizes on the popularity of shapewear as well as the brand's recent success with the figure-enhancing Curve ID collection. A new liquid technology used to treat the Revel jeans is supposed to adapt to curves for a leaner-looking physique.
It's chemistry, rather than biology. A chemical lining the inside of four-way stretch denim promises better body-contouring fabric—minus any intense, uncomfortable squeezing.
Best Jeans for Every Body Type
"Levi's Revel takes that curve innovation one step further by actively shaping a woman's body, giving her the legs and butt she always wanted," Jill Guenza,

The flask bangle by Cynthia RowleyAn old proverb says "necessity is the mother of invention." We're not sure a fashionable and discreet way to conceal alcohol in public is a "necessity," but designer Cynthia Rowley sure seems to think so. Her new stainless steel flask bangle, which sells for $225 on CynthiaRowley.com, uses the proverb as its selling point. We reached out the designer to ask about her new bracelet. "Drinking at work has never been this much fun," Rowley told us.Read More »from Cynthia Rowley Flask Bangle: The Incredible Wearable Bar

Zaha Hadid NOVA heels for United NudeA great shoe is all about design, so who better to create high heels than an acclaimed architect? Zaha Hadid, the Iraqi-British architect known for her futuristic buildings, has partnered with United Nude's creative director, architect Rem D. Koolhaas (the nephew of the great Dutch architect Rem Koolhaas), on some insane, space-age heels we can already picture on the feet of Lady Gaga.Read More »from Architect Zaha Hadid's Chrome High Heels Arrive From the Future
The Scariest Shoes of All Time
The 6.25-inch NOVA heels appear to be heelless, but the architect claims to have engineered a comfortable shoe that you won't topple over in. The materials are equally creative, with the outside of the shoe using metallic chromed vinyl rubber in either silver, black, or rose gold. The result looks like something out of a sci-fi movie. The sole is rubber and contains a hidden platform and heel made of fiberglass, while luxurious Italian nappa leather lines the shoe's interior.

Finding the perfect dress can be a daunting task: with endless options how to pick the right silhouette, color, and fabric? We spoke to Nikki Pennie, celebrity stylist and style council member for David's Bridal, who told us the shift dress is universally flattering on ladies of all ages, shapes, and sizes. "The shift dress is so timeless and classic," says Pennie, who thinks Jackie Onassis put the style on the map. "If you get the right one it should skim your body and cleverly hide the parts you don't want to emphasize like the waist, hips, or bum. The stiffness doesn't grab your body the way other styles do. Instead it gives that vertical line that accentuates any figure and makes you feel comfortable." Not only is the shift dress universally flattering, Pennie says it's a no-brainer for any occasion. "If you have an office job it's something you can wear to work with flats and then to a dinner with heels and a jacket. And you can just as easily wear it with girlfriends on aRead More »from Shift Dresses: The Perfect Style for Every Women

On June 18, Emma Worley of Herminie, Pennsylvania posted a petition on Change.org that quickly made waves throughout the Taylor Swift fan community. A spin class for the homeless in New York CitySpin classes are the latest fitness craze, (aside from Prancercising of course), but at around $34 per session a trip to SoulCycle or FlyWheel is not affordable for everyone. Leave it to Joshua Onassis, the self-proclaimed "Fat Jew" and hilarious fixture in the downtown New York City community, to bring spin class quite literally to the streets.Read More »from SoulCycle for the Homeless? One Dude's Creative Use of Citi Bikes
New York is the latest city to get a pay-as-you-go cycling program. Citi Bikes has pick-up and drop-off locations throughout Manhattan and Brooklyn with bikes docked and locked in clusters which you can rent for $9.95 plus tax for 24 hours. Onassis realized the wheels still spin like stationary bikes when they're not in use, and thus his idea was born: free outdoor spin class for the homeless. They may not be able to afford sneakers, but Onassis thinks they deserve a healthy workout routine like anyone else. He was spotted teaching a spin class to several people near Tompkins Square Park in the East Village on Thursday morning.
