While most of us can't relate to exactly what Kristen Stewart is going through right now-big cheating scandal, photo splashed on newspapers everywhere, millions of emotional fans, hot boyfriend hitting the road-I think at least a few of us can relate to how she's dealing with it...
According to Radar, Kristen is staying with a producer friend and "hasn't showered or changed or washed her hair in several days," "crying nonstop," and is "laying around in her T-shirt and shorts and eating ice cream."

With the exception of the producer pal bit, this sounds like pretty familiar territory to me... you? So many of us fall into a pattern of emotional eating even when we're dealing with basic day-to-day kinds of things (a stressful exam, a meeting gone wrong, an argument with a friend). Throw in something big like a breakup and the comfort food option feels like the only food option.
I've gone the ice cream route

Feeling romantic? Think you could guess which season Americans feel most lovey dovey?
Yup, summer! Researchers at Villanova University tracked popular Internet search terms and found that people tend to be thinking about sex more in the summer months, followed by another spike in December and January.

The reason is actually pretty interesting: They say that the more time we spend with people (think summer pool parties and holiday gatherings) the more amorous we feel.

Guess what natural, (cheap!) whole food packs more energy than a granola or energy bar?
Did you hear it from the grapevine? (Sorry, couldn't resist!) Raisins, say researchers, may give you more energy for a hard workout than a sports bar. University of California-Davis researchers found that raisins provided effective and inexpensive energy for athletes working for long intervals.

Raisins provide fiber and micronutrients like potassium and iron, and they also don't have any added sugar, artificial flavor or colors. And, according to the USDA, raisins are the cheapest dried fruit--so easy on your grocery bill!
Love this, as one of my favorite pre-workout snacks is almonds and raisins.

Poor K-Stew. Yes, she screwed up in the most public way possible, but it must be a very hard time for her. Anyone who's ever made a big mistake, can certainly relate. Experts say that if she'd just do this, she might feel a little better...
WWD/Steve EichnerAfter her cheating scandal, chances are Kristen Stewart is feeling pretty blue. Maybe she's taking it easy, working out, or getting daily massages to deal with her stress. But here's another idea: smile!

While the 22-year-old actress is famously known for not smiling often, if she cracked a grin more frequently, it might benefit her health and happiness--at least according to researchers at University of Kansas. They say that people who fake a smile during and after a stressful situation (and we're not even talking about a huge cheesy smile here--just a little grin) have lower overall stress and a reduced heart rate than those who didn't smile much.

By Vitamin G, Glamour Magazine | Healthy Living – Tue, Jul 31, 2012 10:43 AM EDTI have a semi-strict dress code when it comes to working out--do you? Shirt: not too loose, not too tight, not too short. Stomach: covered. Shorts: OK, but let's not get crazy-short (so uncomfy when you're spinning or doing squats!). So let's just say AnnaLynne McCord's volleyball outfit does not adhere to code.

Courtesy of Pacific Coast News Strictly speaking, AnnaLynne may not have been working out working out in this volleyball game--it very likely could have just been one of those just-playing-around sorts of beach games, which I totally get. Still, the pic made me think about our own personal comfort levels in what we wear while working out. Would I play any sort of jumping-around sport--even just a random pickup game--wearing a bikini? That would be a no. You?

The International Pole Sports Federation's mission is to introduce the world to the sport of pole dancing, and take its athletes all the way to the Olympics.
There's no doubt that pole dancing requires skill. I mean, take a look at photos from the World Pole Sport Fitness Championships: such moves take some serious athleticism (and note the muscles!). And it's been getting recognition for its degree of physical difficulty (pole dancing classes have been popping up in fitness clubs all over the country). So is the main problem that people associate pole dancing too closely with stripping?

Katy Perry's healthy-eating routine? It boils down to this, which she recently shared with FitPerez: "When I was on the road, I liked to have a light soup, a piece of grilled chicken and some quinoa with grilled asparagus for dinner. I always need my daily vitamins and I loved fresh-pressed juices and coconut water. I also love snacks, but pick healthier options like veggies and hummus, tangerines or Popchips." (Yes, she's the spokesperson for Popchips, but I concur-they're tasty and a good, light snack pick, though I'd rather see ya'll eating more veggies than processed foods-just sayin!)
