Angel Hair and Fried Meatball Recipe
What's not to love end of summer, fresh garden plum tomatoes and angel hair pasta. Fresh herbs from the garden, basil, parsley, oregano, fresh grown bulb garlic, the only thing missing now, Grandma, her memory of food lives on forever..... This is a meatless sauce, if you want to serve meat. Fry the meatballs or sausage, pour some sauce over them.. Do not add to the sauce. 

My dad was able to almost duplicate her sauce but Grandma still holds the trophy of excellence. Here is as close as it gets to her perfection! Simplicity, nothing unusual, just what she had to work with. Good Ole Fashion Italian Cooking at it's finest.

Wagon Wheels Chickpea and Broccoli Rabe Soup Recipe

For me this is one of the best things about getting some cooler weather. Delicious Italian soups that grandma use to make when I was little. I really enjoyed those wagon wheels. Mini Hot Dog Appetizer Bites Recipe

With the Sports season upon us these are always a favorite for us! Easy refrigerator dough, hotdogs and some spicy brown mustard. Give them a try the kids will love you for it!

1 package of your favorite hotdogs or cooked Italian sausage or suggestions,
kielbasa, bratwurst, cheddar hotdogs, smoked sausage.
2 packages of 10 refrigerator biscuits or 1 pound of pizza dough, frozen or homemade or crescent rolls
Mustard of choice, dijon, spicey or tomato Sauce and if you like,

Mom's Old Fashioned Apple Biscuit Dessert with Caramel Sauce Recipe

Mom made the simplest dessert, always from scratch. This is one we made often come fall, we always had an abundance of New York State apples for Twin Orchards in New Hartford N.Y. She made the best pies, cakes and dessert with those. Fond memories, hope you enjoy her recipe~! We never really had a name for this one. Can you name it? Maybe you remember a recipe like this one growing up.

Serve warm with whipped cream and caramel topping (recipe below) or vanilla ice cream with caramel topping . Dust with more cinnamon.

Caramel Topping:

1 cup brown sugar
1/2 heavy cream
1 tablespoon cornstarch
1 tablespoon butter

Chili season is almost here again! I just love the smell cooking, makes me want to have the gang over to watch football or watch a movie together. A comfort food great anytime of the year but some of the seasons trigger it for most frequent cooking.

 



Chicken makes this hearty and really will satisfy the hungriest bunch!



Saute the chicken chunks first with garlic and a whole chopped pepper really makes the chicken seasoned perfectly!



I always use whole tomatoes put through the food processor to your desired chunkiness~!
