    • At New York Fashion Week, Oscar de la Renta Dressed Grown Women Like Disney Princesses

On their own, the finale gowns of Oscar de la Renta's Fall 2013 show at New York Fashion week are fairly beautiful. But when the designer took his bow at the show's end, he had us wondering if we were looking at a leaked souvenir photo of Oscar with a couple of princesses at Disneyworld. Oscar's show--as is standard--was packed with impeccably constructed, color-saturated, expertly embroidered pieces that we're confident will make at least one appearance at the Oscars.

We wonder if John Galliano--who has been apprenticing in Oscar's studio--had a hand in the fantastical design. The exiled former Dior helm was known the world over for his whimsical, circus-like creations, before getting fired from Dior and fined $8,400 after an incoherent hate speech rambling in 2011.

What do you think of the gowns? Are they too cartoonish for your liking? Let us know.

    • Fashions From The 90s Make a Comeback

No, we're not talking about overalls and bucket hats--thank goodness. We've rounded up the fashion and beauty trends of the decade that made a splash and are back and better than ever.

Floral babydoll dresses -  Making a big comeback are floral dresses. These girly frocks made famous on shows like "Blossom" and "My So-Called Life," we like styling these looks with tights and either Mary-Jane platforms or of-the-moment ankle boots.
Let's talk about lace – Back then, it was body-conscious minis with lace panels and detailing were all the rage—now, we like those same kind of shortened-hem dresses with longer lace sleeves.

Do your ear(rings) hang low? – Shoulder-dusters,  door-knockers…whatever you called them, these oversized earrings were BIG in the '90s—literally. Today's statement-making earrings are still shoulder-grazing, but are more refined and restrained than the ubiquitous giant, embellished hoops.

Beauty buzz – Thanks to '90s stars, voluminous hair and supermodel-sized lips

    • January Jones Mirrors David Bowie At The SAG Awards

(Michael Ochs Archives/Getty Images, Frazer Harrison/Getty Images & NBC/NBCU Photo Bank)Ground control to Major January! On the carpet representing "Mad Men," whose 6th season begins this April, Miss January Jones hit the 2013 Screen Actors Guild Awards (SAG Awards) looking like a modern day David Bowie; did she not? Yes, her sleek, black and white Prabal Gurung halter gown was rather striking, and her stack of Lorraine Schwartz platinum and diamond link bracelets were not messing with us.

But from the collarbone up, you guys. That voluminous, blonde mullet. Those matte cheekbones. The points of her lips. Even her arched eyebrows, lightly rimmed eyes, and semi-serious gaze. It's unmistakable.

Bowie, too, is known to enjoy a high neckline. In fact, his sartorial choices have long been a reference point in the style world. From his famous pompadour, mohawks, glitzy metallic stage costumes, and leotards, to capes, three-piece suits, and great patterned jackets, he's made quite an impact. He also recently released his first song in ten years: 'Where are we now'.

    • 2013's Haircut Of The Year Has Arrived!

Photo by Evan Agostini/Invision/AP Image - Taylor Hill/WireImageLadies and gentlemen, just one month into 2013, we have a new official haircut! The New York Times calls model Karlie Kloss' chin-length chop the "haircut of the moment," after a four-page spread appeared in Vogue.

Kloss' cut is defined by its just-above-the-shoulder, uniform length, which is a big contrast to her previous long and wavy hair.
Her hairstylist, Garren Defazio, is responsible for the idea, and a phone call from Vogue sealed the deal. “Her hair had been worn out from shows and shoots,” Defazio told the New York Times. “Vogue called and said, ‘Would you do a cut?’ and I said Karlie should be the one to do it on.” Kloss was a little reluctant to chop it all off, as she hadn’t had short hair since grade school, but her jaw-skimming cut with Jane Birkin-esque bangs is not only healthy, it’s setting a huge trend. Michelle Obama and Kylie Minogue have already been spotted with the chop.

It was a pretty bold move for Kloss, who, like all successful models, generally tries to

    • A Smiling Anita Hill Shows Up At Sundance

Anita Hill in Park City, Utah on January 18, 2013. (Chad Hurst/Getty)Anita Hill graced us with her presence at this year's Sundance Film Festival looking little changed by time, with one notable exception -- a big smile! She received a standing ovation at the screening of Frieda Mock’s documentary, Anita, which summarizes her testimony during Clarence Thomas's 1991 Supreme Court hearings. The film's angle, said the director after the screening, is all about "looking at the next generation of people, looking at the next generation of issues and getting it right," in terms of gender inequality.

As a Brandeis law professor, Hill currently teaches social policy and women's studies, and has appeared on the 2011 TIME magazine People of The Year panel and was also a presenter at Glamour magazine's Women of the Year Awards.

In 1991, Anita Hill made headlines everywhere for testifying that Clarence Thomas, the then-candidate for Supreme Court Justice, had sexually harassed her during her time working for him at The U.S. Department of Education and the Equal

    • Mary Elizabeth Winstead: Indie Darling to Watch

Mary Elizabeth rocking dusty rose | Photo courtesy of Getty ImagesTwenty-nine year old Mary Elizabeth Winstead may be famous for her Winstead in not-so-basic black | Photo courtesy of Getty Imagesroles in horror flicks like "Final Destination 2" and and "Grindhouse," but after a role in "Scott Pilgrim vs. The World" and last year's critically-acclaimed "Smashed" opposite Aaron Paul, she's proven she's got indie chops as well.

Fun fact: Winstead initially began her road to entertaining as a ballerina, before she realized she was just too tall to make a career of it. She then broke into Broadway--performing a small role in "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat" during Donny Osmund's run. A couple stints in soap opera acting, a short-lived network television drama series, and a couple of teensy movie roles followed. She lost a role to Scarlett Johansson in "We Bought A Zoo,"  Zoe Kazan in "The F-word," Emma Stone in the "Spider-Man" reboot, and to Colbie Smulders in "The Avengers," but she persisted. She has four films coming out in 2013, starring alongside pedigreed actors like Bill Murray, Jason

Twenty-nine year old Mary Elizabeth Winstead may be famous for her roles in horror flicks like Final Destination 2 and and Grindhouse, but after a role in Scott Pilgrim vs. The World and last year's critically-acclaimed Smashed opposite Aaron Paul, she's proven she's got indie chops as well. At this year's Sundance Film Festival, we're dying to lay eyes on Winstead, who should be there promoting her film, The Spectacular Now--same director as Smashed!-- in which she acts alongside Shailene Woodley, Jennifer Jason Leigh, and Miles Teller. On screen, she's compelling and believable, and off-screen, she's stunning and covetously dressed.

On the red carpet, she chooses high-fashion over sexiness, and inspired, directional pieces over fads. An ivory, keyhole Chloe dress here, a Monique Lhuillier patterned sheath there. Her choices are always impeccable. And as we venture around Park City--just forty minutes from her hometown of Salt Lake City--during the festival, we'll be sure to keep an

For the first show kicking off the 2013 awards season, a rainbow of candy colors packed a powerful punch. And they really pleased the people. It was as if the attendees took their last real advantage of spunky, technicolor dressing before they had to get seriously glam for the Globes, SAGs, and Oscars.

At the People's Choice Awards 2013, there was sequin-adorned lace with coordinating fuchsia patent strappy sandals on Glee's ecstatic, award-winning Lea Michele. Her Elie Saab mini was embellished and contoured in all the right places, and her dainty Anita Ko jewels accented without competing.

Shay Mitchell of "Pretty Little Liars" was radiant in a black-and-white confetti-detailed creamsicle strapless party dress that she accessorized with black peep toes and a black clutch.

A vivid, electric lime daisy-print Simone Rochas dress looked absolutely gorgeous on 15-year-old "Carrie" actress, Chloe Grace Moretz, while a subtler lemon meringue plunging Maria Lucia Hohen frock looked beautiful
