Hunting season has started, but I'm not looking for any cute furry/feathery animals. What I'm searching for is of the clothing variety ( a MUST-HAVE) but very hard to find. I'm searching for the Perfect Black Pant (PBP).
Does anyone else have this problem? I have 2 pairs right now. One is too long to wear flats with; this drives me insane. The other pair is so loose in the waist that I have to wear a belt but I have to pull them up so high it looks stupid with any belt. Instead, I've been wearing dresses and skirts, but I'm getting tired of shaving my legs every day.
So I'm looking for new black pants that are a reasonable price. I've spent more than I wanted before at The New York and Co. and was completely disappointed when those expensive pants basically fell apart. So I'm not going there again. Anyway, I actually despise this shopping activity because its so hard to find the exact right pair. Maybe these below will work? [ Forever 21 ] [ Victoria Secret ] [ Ann Taylor Loft ]

Within the past year a big focus has come upon African-American women's hair. Michelle Obama's hair has especially garnered a lot of attention! This article, "Why Michelle Obama's Hair Matters " on Yahoo! News caught my attention, opened my eyes and made me think. When Tyra Bank's talk show premiered in September, she decided to reveal her "real hair" and declared September 8 th National Real Hair Day. Even Chris Rock is in on this. His daughter asked him, "Daddy, how come I don't have good hair?" which led him on a journey (which will be his new movie-Good Hair) to find the answer.
Now why would I really find this fascinating?
Because, as it said in the Yahoo! Article, "hair has classification power." Think about it? I think this discussion has more to do than just with African-American women's hair, though those thoughts, truths, and history are extremely intriguing to me. It has to do with every woman.
Hair is an important part of every girl's life. It matters! EveryRead More »from User Post: Does your hair really matter? I believe it does.

Last night I was watching Dancing with the Stars, not a normal activity since Gossip Girl is my #1 monday show, and noticed an odd outfit.Read More »from User Post: Trend that confuses me: One-Long Sleeve Dresses. Hit or miss or awful?
And it wasn't on a dancer!!
It was on Samantha Harris, she's the host who interviews the dancers backstage. She had on a one-shoulder long dress, ok, but the other sleeve was down to her wrist. I stared every time she came on just because it looked odd. Then, I remembered Kim Kardashian sported this look in dazzling white at the Emmys a few weeks ago.
The one shoulder dress is kinda cool, but I'm not feeling this long-sleeve one-shoulder trend. Seems odd to me...like they forgot to sew the other one on....
hmm... What do you think? Would you wear a dress with one long sleeve?

Today actually feels "fall-ish". Yay! So we must celebrate! What are you wearing today?
I'm wearing a Delia's short-sleeve green/blue striped boyfriend cardigan with a white tank, black leggings, cheetah print flats, vintage double looped black glass beads, and rhinestone studs. My hair is straightened with a black patent leather headband.
WHAT ARE YOU WEARING???
Enjoy your weekend loves!

When I think about skincare, wrinkles and fine lines are usually the last thing I consider. I mean I'm 23 and shouldn't have too many wrinkles yet right? So when I picked up the Olay Regenerist Anti-Aging Eye Roller to test as a Shine Beauty Guru, I was really skeptical. But what could it hurt? I mean it does promise that it helps "reduce eye puffiness, but also regenerate skin's appearance to diminish fine lines and wrinkles." So diligently for the past 2 weeks, after washing my face before bed, I used it. The "tool" itself is just a little bigger than my mascara tube. With one click, the cream is gently massaged into the skin. After the recommended 30 seconds on each eye, I was left with cool (the rollers were a little cold!) refreshed, dewy skin.
I didn't notice an instant effects. But my eyes sure did feel good after the initial application! I kept applying and enjoying. One no-makeup day, I glanced in the mirror as I passed by and had to do a double take. I looked close
So today is the first day of fall. And I'm starting to pull out those cool weather pieces even if its still 80 degrees.Read More »from User Post: Fall's Here, Let's Review!
I'm just itching to try this season's hottest trends. But as fast as the fashion industry moves, I sometimes forget what's hot right now. So let's take a quick review of Fall's hottest trends and pull it all out just in time!
Here we go:
A girl shouldn't go anywhere without her leggings. Pair them with a tunic, a long tee, a dress. Make them bright, with a pattern or a basic color. Strap on boots, stilettos, booties, or flats. Almost any way you wanna wear them, you're good to go. Just don't put them with a bodysuit-cause then you'll be channeling an 80's aerobics instructor instead of your inner fashionista. btw: are you down with jeggings ?
Just a little goes a long way! A dress, shoes, a clutch, a headband. Add a little spice to your wardrobe with just a touch of cheetah or zebra! Remember KISS- Keep It Simple Sweetie! Don't over do it,

Pumps, heels, stilettos..these are words that some women fear because they aren't "that type of girl" Well, I don't agree with this statement. I think that there is one type of pump that every woman should own. The black patent leather high heel will never go out of style. They instantly add chic to any outfit. They are just flashy enough to wear out, classy enough to wear to an interview, and serious enough for any family event. You can wear them with jeans, leggings, slacks, a jersey dress, a cocktail dress, or a formal gown. They have so many possibilities that they are worth every penny. You can buy expensive ones, medium priced once, and "cheap" ones.Read More »from user post: The shoe I think every woman should own!
I own the Payless Fioni Pumps. I bought them on a whim one day and turns out it was one of the best investments I could have ever bought for my wardrobe. At $20, they are affordable and a quick grab that won't break your budget. I truly believe that even if you are scared of high heels, that you (everyone) needs these shoes, by

When I was thirteen, I didn't find myself pretty or confident and definelty not stylish (especially a budding fashionist) Well this little girl is nothing of the sort! Meet Tavi !
She's a 13 year old blogger, who puts almost any other girl her age to shame with her edginess, daring style, and pure fashion eye. (Her connections only make her more unbelievably cool!).
She was front row at Marc Jacobs, and met with Alexandar Wang. The girls from Rodarte text and email her often.
She describes her self as "tiny 13 year old dork that sits inside all day wearing awkward jackets and pretty hats. Scatters black petals on Rei Kawakubo's doorsteps and serenades her in rap. Rather cynical and cute as a drained rat. In a sewer. Farting. And spitting out guts." [ Style Rookie ]
Her blog is funny, witty, a great read with even more delectable pictures! The way she puts her pieces together makes me jealous! If you have a spare moment, check out this maven! She sure is noRead More »from User post: At 13 aren't you supposed to be awkward? This girl is anything but!

TCM's makes a list of its favorite films in a certain category every day. Well, yesterday they chose fashion. YAY! Here is their reason for making this list:
"Film has provided fashion inspiration for audiences and fashion designers alike; costumes not only help create a character, but can spur real-life trends and runway looks. In honor of Fashion Week and the far-reaching influence that film has had on our closets, we present our 15 of our favorite fashion trendsetting movies. " [ TCM ]

Let's start with the most basic principle, the definition!
Sample Sale : used by retail businesses in order to discard excess merchandise. Associated with the fashion industry. These sales are an opportunity to get near perfect merchandise at a fraction of the price. [Wikipedia]
I've heard and read about sample sales for quite along time. Of course, not living in a major metropolis severely limits my opportunity to ever go to sample sale. Well, luckily some genius people decided to bring the format to the web!
My two favorites for clothes are
Gilt being my preferred site! While some pieces are still way out of my range, the discounts they offer on these pieces are amazing! $900 for a 3k dress!?! That's a huge discount. Gilt has recently launched a more modern, hip, and more affordable sister site: Gilt Fuse.
I'm in love with Gilt Fuse…they've had amazing sales on Juicy Couture, DKNY and more. They're stuff usually rages from $20 up to $200.
