Grab a plate - it's meal time. Phillips Avent is making eating educational with a new line of tableware set to debut next month. The collection includes BPA-free plates, bowls, and silverware ($4 - $20) to take babies from the weaning stage through self-feeding and is designed to spark family conversations about numbers and food. Each piece from the colorful line comes with a nutritionist-created recipe, and the items for younger eaters are backed with non-slip silicone to prevent meals from ending up on the floor. The cute line will make its debut at Babies R Us stores next month. What do you think of the products?

By LilSugar | Parenting – Thu, Jul 29, 2010 7:42 PM EDT
What to do when it's more than the baby blues? Dr. Karen Binder-Brynes recently contributed to Gwyneth Paltrow's web newsletter, GOOP about postnatal depression. The NYC psychologist has since received inquiries from women all over the globe. As the condition is not uncommon, we asked her for tips on how to tell if a mom has postpartum depression and how to help. Here is her advice: As I mentioned in GOOP, 10 to 20 percent of women experience postpartum depression after giving birth. This is not a small percentage. I've got some big burger fans in my house, so I'm always looking for ways to make them kid-friendly and fun. But I'm not thrilled about serving up plain old fries and hamburgers, so I'm always looking for ways to change things up. Last night, I found just the thing to please my picky crew - a healthy twist on burgers and fries. Instead of red meat, I used ground turkey and added in some shredded zucchini to sneak in more veggies. I baked up some sweet potato fries and used the rest of the zucchini to make veggie chips to serve on the side. I garnished the turkey burger with a slice of cheddar and my son thought his edible owl art was a hoot!
