Just in time for spring gift giving, we've rounded up six fashion companies and three basic-needs brands that follow the one-for-one business model-you buy one of their products, they donate one special something to a charity in need. Courtesy PhotoYou weren't the only one screaming 'nooooooooooo' at your TV when Hannah (Lena Dunham) cut her own hair during the season finale of HBO's Girls. The cringe-worthy moment-the climax of her anxiety-driven breakdown-was enough to turn anyone brave enough to do a DIY chop off the idea. But, if you must, we caught up with celebrity hairstylist Tommy Buckett of the Marie Robinson Salon (Twitter: @mariesalon) in New York to find out how to do it with more success than Hannah Banana. To start, don't look at a picture, like she did. "If you have a picture that you're trying to replicate, you're probably setting yourself up for failure," said Buckett, who is responsible for the gorgeous cuts seen on Emma Stone, Elisabeth Moss, and Ashlee Simpson. "When one decides to cut their own hair, it's usually an impulse decision, so just go for it and have fun!" Herewith, his four top tips:

1. EDGY LOOKS WORK

On stage, she worked a true-to-the-novella '40s face palette (we saw it with our own eyes!), a look designed by makeup artist Sonia Kashuk, who also trained the star in how to do it for the nightly show. "It was more of a very clean, simple face, not so iconic to Audrey," explained Kashuk. "In fact, we really wanted to stay away from that. So I think it pushed it in a new direction, but still very refined and very polished." To create Holly's signature beauty look, she used two pieces from her very own Target collection-the Super Sheer Shimmering Highlighter ($10, target.com) and the Couture Eye Palette ($20, target.com). "The highlighter gave a little lift and helped contour her face so it would be illuminated," she added. Beautiful!

Getty Images (2)In honor of St. Patrick's Day, Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge headed to Aldershot, as she did last year, to hand out shamrocks to the Irish Guards-and she revealed an exciting bit of baby news, too! Much as she's known to do, Kate repeated a look that we love-the emerald Emilia Wickstead coat-dress she wore to last year's ceremony. To fit her growing baby bump, Kate removed the skinny black belt she wore with last year's look, then finished her ensemble with all black accessories: a floral beret, a turtleneck, pumps, gloves, and tights. And then she gave the troops (and everyone else listening in) a very special treat: According to People.com, Catherine revealed to Sergeant Thomas Laven that she's hoping her baby is a boy, while she also said her husband, Prince William, who was nearby, is rooting for a little Queen-to-be.
