Gigundo Black Friday promotions are as intrinsic to the third week of November as turkey, stuffing and mashed potatoes. Whether you're spending Thanksgiving with your hometown crew or your significant other, one thing's for certain: dressing for the holiday weekend isn't easy.
Cooking up a handful of outfits from a weekend bag is a difficult task-in fact, we'd venture to say it's as tough as whipping up a killer stuffing from scratch.
With that in mind, we've nailed down a recipe that'll take you from family time to friend time with a couple easy switches. Just toss these pieces in your weekend bag and you'll be seriously thankful:

Time, anybody will tell you, is worth more than money. So giving something you've made is the opposite of cheap! There's nothing better, for both giver and receiver. One family I know does a secret-Santa-type thing where they each get a name and a month to make something before the holidays. So much more fun, interesting and personal than just scrolling down some random website/aisle, looking for some item that vaguely satisfies.

I went to the memorial service of an incredibly accomplished, brilliant, stylish person, and the thing that practically every speaker at the service brought up was how delicious this woman's pancakes were. Televison-themed, election-themed...the list of nail art possibilities, it seems, is endless. But let's be realistic: we're not all Katy Perry. We can't really walk around with dizzying prints or mini pieces of fruit all over our nails every day. So take a cue from the Olympic athletes this year who gave a nod to their respective countries via their fingers in a more subtle way: with an accent nail.
To create an eye-popping accent nail, you don't have to go to a pricey nail salon or be born with superhuman artistic abilities. Click through to shop nail wraps, charms, pens and more!

Black Friday shopping is not for the timid, weak or unprepared. However, intense "doorbuster" stampedes aside, the savings are out there-if you know where to find them. So this year, between turkey roasting and pie baking, be sure plan your post-Thanksgiving spree. We've boiled down the process to five simple steps:1.) Make a shopping list and do your research.
Once you make a list, you can narrow your sale search to specific locations. Electronics are often the most sought-after devices on Black Friday, so if you're looking for an HDTV or smart phone, you'll probably be camping out in a parking lot.

Sometimes it's what's on the outside that counts. Like in winter. No matter what amazing figure-flattering outfit you put together, if you toss an ill-fitting coat on top, you'll just look like a lumpy rectangle. Maybe it's a lumpy rectangle disguising a $3,000 Roland Mouret pencil dress that sculpts your body more than eight SoulCycle classes-but it doesn't matter. Most people just see you in your outerwear anyway, so you'll need a good coat which isn't just tailored but tailored to you, like the ones in the slideshow below. (Although, admittedly, I sort of want them all.)

While weathering hurricane Sandy in my apartment the other week, I reacted to the disaster porn by eating every scrap of edible matter in my cupboards and refusing to wear real pants. Mostly though, I just ordered lots of stuff online that I can't wear anytime soon-AKA items that aren't waterproof.
But now the rain has stopped and so has my stress-shopping stint-it's time to focus on navigating post-storm New York City. First, I must invest in a pair of impenetrable boots or booties that aren't of the 40-year-old-dad-shoveling-the-driveway variety. Click through to shop my bad weather footwear picks.
