In case you missed the memo-and to be honest, even we sort of did-a Spice Girls musical called Viva Forever! is set to debut in London's West End this coming November. Written by Absolutely Fabulous funnywoman Jennifer Saunders and brought to us by Mamma Mia! producer Judy Craymer, the show is described on its official website as "a wonderfully joyous contemporary musical about the value of friendship in the face of fame and fortune." Or, you know, exactly what Victoria Beckham, Geri Halliwell, Melanie Brown, Melanie Chisholm and Emma Bunton likely dealt with as their catchy singles topped international charts and made them overnight sensations.
Being unabashed fans of the quintet's 1997 feature film Spice World (don't kid yourselves-you all saw it too), we're tempted to start saving up now for a plane ticket across the pond to see the UK pop stars' stage spectacular when it opens.
