While making my morning sweep of fashion blogs and favorite e-tailers, I stumbled across this furry bag from Louis Vuitton. It's so fun to look at-I just had to share.

Although I'm not sure if I'd carry it around in real life, I still think it's sort of charming in a like a Pekingese-like way. Marc Jacobs might be on to something here: Since most Hollywood starlets carry around puppies small enough to fit inside their oversized handbags, perhaps they should just carry a dog-like satchel instead. It is just as soft and cute and would get into much less trouble on set.

Along with a Ralph Lauren picnic basket and a mammoth Louis Vuitton trunk, I want a completely unnecessary-yet-amazing beach towel.

I'd never buy any of those things myself since my friends would call me out for not being either Madonna en route to a Scottish castle, or Leo on a yacht in St. Tropez, but I'd definitely want someone to give one of them me- especially the beach towels.

As far as fashion-y splurges go, they'd last way longer; unlike Carrie Bradshaw-esque stilettos that wear down to the metal after four wears or beaded dresses forced to hang in garment bags every minute, spendy beach towels are indestructible by definition. So in that one way, they're practical. Though, of course, their real power is making you look like you're about to film an episode of MTV's Cribs the second you leave the beach or the pool.

While I'm generally a bit skeptical of online shopping (though I'm an avid online window shopper), I've come to love shopping on eBay. They're not joking when they call it the world's marketplace. It's global, it's infinite and it has everything you've ever wanted. Whether that's a hand-painted talavera-style butter dishes from Mexico or "Vintage '70s floral maxi dress 14," you will find it. (BTW yes, these are normal searches for me.)
