In the upcoming romantic comedy What's Your Number?, funny girl Anna Faris plays Ally, who is told by her girlfriends that women who exceed twenty sexual partners will never find a husband. Distraught, Ally decides to revisit her twenty lovers in hopes of finding "the one" among her old flings. While the movie promises to be a bawdy flick, full of comedic greats like Andy Samberg and Joel McHale, the storyline begs more serious questions: Does the number of people you've slept with matter? Why do women attach so much importance to the number of sexual experiences they've had?
Given the longstanding double standard when it comes to sex-counts (men get more high-fives the higher the number and women get judged basically either way), some women hide their number or use the good ol' divide-by-two-and-subtract-by-four formula. We're curious: do you care about the number of sexual partners you've had? How many is too many in your eyes?

It seems Eddie Cibrian, who plays smooth-talking Nick Dalton on The Playboy Club, would like to live in the "carefree" 1960s, or at least the glamorous, carefree world NBC has created in its new '60s-set drama. We chatted with the star about what's next for the show, comparisons to Mad Men, feminist criticism, and what he thinks it would have been like to live through Hugh Hefner's heydey.DivineCaroline: How did you prepare for the role?
Eddie Cibrian: [Nick] is a young, successful attorney with mob ties. I looked at a lot of photos from that era and watched Playboy After Dark to get an idea of what was happening socially when people were coming to the Playboy Club and the Playboy Mansion.DC: What did you learn from your research?

By DivineCaroline | Work + Money – Thu, Sep 22, 2011 7:15 PM EDTSavvy businesspeople know that in order for their companies to thrive, they must maximize their market by appealing to both genders. Often, though, especially in markets traditionally dominated by male consumers, like beer and electronics, the effort to swoop up the lady spenders often amounts little more than wrapping a product in pink, bedazzling it to death, and/or reducing the calorie content (we're all on a diet, right?). While there are plenty of Paris Hiltons out there who surely appreciate the nod, many of us regular lasses prefer our gadgetry bling-free, our cocktails full-calorie and delicious, and the color pink used in moderation. We're hoping advertisers eventually get the memo that Barbie isn't real. In the meantime, here's a look at some brands that that poured on the saccharine stereotypes to pump up their chick-friendly image.

Teeth falling out? Forgot where you left your baby? No, you're not going crazy. We like to think of our dreams as unique expressions of our individual psyches and imaginations, but most people's dreams are based on themes that are actually very common. No matter how weird, outrageous, or embarrassing you think your dreams are, the truth is that they're more normal than you think. These seven dreams are among the most common, and understanding what causes them can even help you sort through your daytime emotions.
1. Being chased
Candice Janco, author of The Bedside Dream Dictionary: 500 Dream Symbols and Their Meanings, describes this dream as an indication that the dreamer feels threatened in some way. Maybe you're having difficulty with a co-worker, maybe you're experiencing money woes; the "chasing" isn't really literal. It's a sign that you're feeling pressured or stressed.
2. Being late to an important event
This can indicate regret over a missed opportunity, an inability toBusinesspeople pointing at laptop. Laughing couple holding hands. Dog wearing an Elvis wig. Welcome to the world of stock photography, which those of us who work in media journey through every day, looking for that perfect image that tells just the right story. Or, at least, kinda-sorta does.
Stock photos say something about the article they're paired with, even if that statement is as generic and bland as, I'm a successful businesswoman, which you can tell because I'm holding a cell phone. Finding the right picture means wading through hundreds of images, but don't think that all stock photos are contrived and boring. Some are unabashedly bizarre, and we often wonder exactly what stories these out-there images are trying to tell.

You know you're an adult when your friends start acting like stereotypes. A friend confides that she's only getting married because she's afraid her sub-optimal fiancé is her last chance. Or your married pals move away from your hip, fun city to live in the suburbs, where they can have a yard and a laundry room. Or your college roommate, who always swore she'd be a relaxed, stress-free mom, starts obsessing about tutoring her two-year-old for the SATs. Welcome to adulthood, which is more complicated, painful, and confusing than you thought it would be.
Nowhere is the complexity of adulthood more pronounced than in the decision to have a baby. Formerly sane, smart women start saying things that sound like lines from a Lifetime original movie. Whether or not to be parents is a decision that people make in different ways and for different reasons, but let's be honest-for every good reason to have a baby, there are some spectacularly bad reasons for doing it.
1. "It's Time"
