Pnina TornaiI'm a regular watcher of TLC's "Say Yes to the Dress." Why? I have no idea. If you've never seen it, the reality show takes place at Kleinfeld Bridal, a huge bridal store in Manhattan. Each half-hour episode follows three or four brides shopping for their wedding gowns. Usually, some hijinks occur. A mom is mean to a bride! Somebody cries! A husband sees the dress before the wedding! For sure, women have diverse tastes when it comes to what to get married in, from the totally conservative to the downright weird. But there's a certain type of bride who likes a certain type of dress. She'll start out by saying she wants a gown with a "wow factor." Something that "glitters." Something that's "over the top!" Then, she'll mention her favorite designer by name; invariably, it's Pnina Tornai. Take this one, for example. It's Aphrodite meets Liberace by way of silver lamé. Fug of fantastical?

Much like models, celebrity agents encourage their famous clients to maintain shortish hairstyles, since it makes them more malleable and open to a variety of parts. But more than a few starlets don't seem to give a hoot and are wearing their hair longer and longer. Eh, or maybe it's just a recession thing. We can't afford to get our hair cut often enough either ... Click through to be absolutely mesmerized by a whole bunch of chicks (and one guy) who probably power through bottles of detangler like nobody's biz, and see lots more long-haired celebrities at The Frisky.

Snoreplasty: The New Injection To End Snoring
By The Frisky | Work + Money – Fri, Oct 30, 2009 10:37 PM EDT
iStockPhotoGirls don't snore, right? (Wink.) But your guy probably does. For those with snoring problems, there's a frightening new solution-an injection treatment called "snoreplasty," which can supposedly replace surgery for those who wish to solve their severe snoring issues (or, at least, appease the women they're torturing on a nightly basis). The shot, currently available in England, is done under local anesthetic, and targets the roof of the mouth. The compound is a "hardening agent" which prevents vibration in the nasal passageways. While the injection sounds pretty suspect and a little nasty, snoreplasty is apparently cheap, only 3 GBPs (about $5), and it takes only two minutes to administer. Whaddya think? Apparently, Dressing Like Lady Gaga Wins You Style Awards
By The Frisky | Fashion – Fri, Oct 30, 2009 10:32 PM EDTHere's one we didn't see coming. Miss I-Laugh-In-The-Face-Of-Fashion herself, Lady Gaga, is getting a style award. The Accessories Council Excellence Awards will present the pop star with the "Stylemaker Award," to be presented by Marc Jacobs. OK, in a way we get it: Lady Gaga has shown us outfits w

StyleFrizzIt was inevitable that Madonna's eldest, Lourdes Ciccone Leon, would be a style icon by the time she became a teenager. Well, now we know what's in the closet of the 13-year-old celebuspawn, thanks to the tell-tale red soles of Christian Louboutin shoes, which tend to retail at about $600 per pair. Here, Lourdes was recently spotted wearing a pair of these must-have studded flats. Of course, the children of celebrities are naturally predisposed to be well-dressed in luxury goods, and they're some damn lucky kids. But for the rest of the "normal" world, at what age should girls be allowedto wear high-end designer labels? It seems like more and more, there's a growing culture of teens and pre-teens who are just really, really well-dressed. Honestly, it does make us a little jealous. When we were 13 years old, we would have given anything to live in Cher Horowitz's closet. How old were you when you started wearing more high-end goods? At what age is it appropriate (if any) for the youngerEver Bought Shoes You Couldn’t Walk In?

Vogue UKI very recently bought a pair of Christian Louboutin heels for $85 at a sample sale-ah-mazing deal, right? Well, turns out, not so much. They're a size too small and perilously high, way too high for my heel-walking abilities. But, yeah, I still went ahead and bought them even though I could barely walk around the try-on area with them on (let alone a city sidewalk). Still, I love them and because of that adoration, I actually wore them out last weekend. Bad move. I had to go home about an hour after I arrived due to the fact that I was hobbling, painfully hobbling, around. I'm going to get them stretched a half size, but I am certainly not the only person out there who's bought and never worn a pair of shoes ...
In fact, judging from the shoes that went down the runway at the spring 2010 Alexander McQueen show, a lot of ladies will soon be snapping up shoes they also can't walk in. Not only do they look like that, above on the left, but even editors at British Vogue couldn't

Maybe it was the triumphant return of formerly long-haired supermodel Irina Lazareanu (above) to the spring 2010 runway alongside other bowled-over mannequins, actresses like Kelly Osbourne sporting the look, or just numerous hip, beautiful young things roaming around N.Y.C. and L.A. ... but we can ignore this insidious haircut no longer. It seemingly knows no gender bounds, and it's personal to those of us who suffered this traumatizing fate back in the day: Once upon a time, your mom got sick of chasing you around to detangle your scraggly hair so, exasperated, she plopped a cereal bowl on your head, trimmed your glorious locks around the edges, and, yes, you still had to go to school the next day. (Shudder.) Of course, the look is far more chic if you meant for it to look that way. But we have to wonder if only models, rock stars (Karen O. always manages to make it work) and the most stylish of the fashionable set among us can pull it off? Are you feeling it, or does it just remindDie, Trend, Die! 10 Popular Fads We Want Killed

But the denim vest is not the only popular fashion trend we want to see take its place in the style graveyard. 21 Halloween Costumes That Will Not Get You Laid
By The Frisky | Love + Sex – Tue, Oct 27, 2009 11:07 PM EDTI heart slutty Halloween costumes. Yes, I'm one of those total w----s who creatively shows as much T&A as possible and then struts around like I'm a fantasy woman. Why would I pass on the chance to be a totally uninhibited, confident, sexy b---- ? It's the one day of the year that I get to prance around like a skank, awkwardness-free, so I take it! And let me tell you, when it comes to seduction, costumes can work like a charm-especially if you follow my tips for getting laid on Halloween. But while the formula is easy for girls-go nearly naked-men's "sexy outfits" can easily go horribly wrong. Case in point: The Shocker, aka a man dressed as two in the pink, one in the stink. While I like an extra finger as much as the next gal, there's no way I'd go for a guy dressed as a foam one. Is that a shocker? Yet, this jumbo hand is being mass produced and marketed to men. Clearly, there's a difference between showing your playful, sexy side, and showing too much of that inner perv. I
