    • 5 Quick Tips To Relieve A Sunburn

With summer at its peak, it's time to address the beauty issue that no one really wants to think about but is always a possibility: sunburn. We fully advocate using sunscreen on a daily basis, but unfortunately, sometimes those rays get the best of us and turn delicate skin bright red. In an effort to save our skin from the terrible pain that sunburn causes, here are a few tips on how to deal with the blistering pain, before and after the burn takes hold.

      1. Red skin doesn't always mean that you're getting burnt, but since sunburn can take eight hours to fully develop, it's a good indication that you should take refuge from the rays for a bit.

      Lady Gaga
is to fashion as oil is to water; the two just don't mix right and, in fact, can be a rather dangerous combination. Known for her risqué outfit choices, the pop star's latest criticism has to do with the doe eye contact lens trend that she supposedly inspired with her "Bad Romance" video [above].
Apparently, teens are scooping up these lenses to make their eyes pop like Japanese animé characters, but the trouble is that: a) they're illegal (but unsurprisingly you can still get them online), and b) they pose a real health threat. If you wear contact lenses without a prescription, you risk severe eye irritation or worse, blindness. here are four more Lady Gaga fashion choices that should come with surgeon general warnings.

    • First Person: I Have Endometriosis

Every kid in middle school played hooky. I was a total goody-two shoes, but still a hooky master-I told my mom I couldn't go to school whenever I woke up sleepy, lazy or just hadn't finished my homework. And then I turned 13 and got my period. As the Jewish tradition goes, my friend slapped me across the face in the bathroom, screamed "Mazel Tov!" and it all began. The cramps were unbearable. They felt like someone was punching me in the stomach. I couldn't even think of using a tampon because I'd have to change it every 20 minutes-like Missy Elliott, my flow was out of control. But like the little boy who cried wolf, my mom didn't believe that her star hooky player could have cramps that bad and sent me on my way to school. It wasn't until a month later that my mom realized I wasn't playing hooky-something had to be wrong when four extra strength Motrin and a heating pad didn't help my cramps. My mom immediately made an appointment for me at her gynecologist.

Getty ImagesGetty ImagesThe sun is out and the heat is on. But just because you've said goodbye to the cold weather layers doesn't mean you can say goodbye to common style rules. Bling-bling and bikinis, heels at the beach, and sunglasses indoors just aren't fashionable, regardless of who is wearing them. Find 10 summer style dos and don'ts to keep you looking stylish, normal, and cool all summer long.

      1. Sunglasses belong outside. Sunglasses are called sunglasses for a reason-they belong in the sun. There is no reason to wear your sunglasses inside. After all, they're not called shade-glasses. Duh.

    • Mind Of Man: Why Men Cry?

Men don't cry. We squint. Boys might be made out of snips and snails and puppy dog tails, but men are made out of leather and steel and "Hungry Man" meals. Kick us in the baby wallet and we might keel over. Let forth a grizzly's roar. But cry? Men have three basic emotions: The Wave, Hulk, and whiskey. Our hearts are fist-sized beer kegs. Tears are just cowardly beads of sweat too scared to jump off our brow when sawing wood. I got hit in the head by a softball once. Did I cry? No. I kicked that softball's ass. In the words of the mighty warrior King Leonidas, and I'm directly quoting from the historical documentary "300" here, "There is no crying in Sparta!"

"I've heard tales of some men who've cried when laid off. Which is nowhere in the man manual. When laid off, a man makes eye contact, shakes hands, and then calmly walks to bar where he plots revenge."

    • 15 Women On Why They Say "No" To Marriage

Many couples feel that marriage is not necessary for happiness and long-term commitment. Fifteen women give us their ideas about what marriage means and why they don't need it to be happy in their relationships.

"Both of us have had bad marriages and divorces. When we got together, it wasn't supposed to be a forever thing. Now I realize if I had married him to begin with, I wouldn't be so against marriage, but we are happy the way things are and neither of us want that to change." -Suzanne Alicie, Charlottesville, Va.

"We didn't get married for a number of reasons: the timing was never right, we were never sure of each other, we were always more focused on just ourselves instead of each other, we weren't sure if we were always right for the other. We were the complete opposites, we were like oil and water in the relationship, and we fought all the time, but we loved each other unconditionally." -Diana Bean, Rogers, Ark.

    • “Bachelorette” Ali’s 6 Steps To Make Any Man Fall Madly In Love

So, I was watching "The Bachelorette" on Monday night (I know I said I was boycotting it because it's obviously a shamfest, but I'm already sucked in this season), and the true genius of the show dawned on me. Some brilliant exec at ABC came up with the perfect formula to make guys fall in love, or at least think that they are. Did you ever notice how the guys always fall truly, madly, deeply, and quickly for any "Bachelorette" bait that is placed before them? It seems like it would hardly make a difference who it was. Take Ali for example. She's cute, I guess, but so annoying and totally boring with nappy Barbie extensions. Yet every single dude there claims he's never met anyone like her before; they are all falling in love with her. How is that possible? I think I've decoded the secret love potion. If only we could find a way to translate this to real-life dating, we'd have men dropping to their knees to propose. Or at least dying for a second date.

      1. Timing. A man who

    • Does It Really Pay To Be Honest?

I consider myself to be a pretty honest person, save the occasional white lie-"Oh yeah, I've read War & Peace. Thought-provoking!" However, I think telling the truth is not always easy and it doesn't necessarily work out how you'd like it to. The goal of telling the truth shouldn't be about relieving a guilty conscience; if being honest is going to have massive repercussions, it's important for the truth-teller to really consider its worth; other people's truths should be theirs to tell, unless the emotional cost to the one being lied to is that grave. Ultimately, though, I think we all decide when to be honest based on whether we would want to hear the truth ourselves. Is it a foolproof decision-making method? Definitely not, but sometimes it's all we've got.

My personal experience with honesty has always been a bit confused. My parents had somewhat differing points of view when it came to telling the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth. They agreed that when
