    • NYC Fun-Free as Vibrator Giveaway Turned Off by City Officials

      The city that never sleeps and somehow simultaneously makes your dreams come true has been puzzling its residents with a new, not-so-improved side lately. Last month, Mayor Michael Bloomberg moved forward with his proposed ban on super-sized soda, and yesterday the city shut down Trojan's free vibrator giveaway when it attracted thousands of thrill-seekers. What gives, NYC?

      "I'm 57 years old. I should be able to get a vibrator!" Linda Postell told the New York Post after being turned away. "I have a problem with the smoking ban, and the soda ban-and now this!"

      Trojan planned on giving away 10,000 free battery-operated toys from Pleasure Carts, tricked-out versions of the iconic NYC hot dog vending carts. But as crowds gathered at the various locations, City Hall sent a rep to demand that the company cease its giveaway until it obtains proper permits.

      INGREDIENTS
      Vanilla icing
      Sanding sugar, blush or light pink
      2 ounces vanilla vodka
      1 ounce pineapple juice
      1 ounce cranberry juice
      1-1 1/2 teaspoons agave nectar (sweeten to your taste)
      1/2 ounce half & half
      Optional: 1/2 ounce almond liqueur or 1/2 ounce amaretto

      1. Ice the rim of a martini glass with vanilla icing and dust with blush or light pink sanding sugar.

      2. Combine all other ingredients in a shaker with ice. Shake well. Strain into the martini glass. Top it off with a cocktail pick skewering a small piece of angel food cake iced with white frosting.
