Just like her character Charlotte in "Sex in the City," Kristin Davis has recently adopted a daughter, whom she named Gemma Rose, and she says Anderson played a role in the adoption process.

After watching a segment Anderson did in Haiti with renowned international adoption doctor Jane Aronson, Kristin knew she had to speak with Dr. Aronson herself, so she and Dr. Aronson worked together to help Kristin adopt domestically.

"I didn't think anyone would choose me, you know, I'm single, and I thought people wanted the white picket fence domestically," Kristin says. "And [Dr. Aronson] said, 'You know, you really should.'"

Even though Gemma Rose is less than a year old, fans are already curious about whether Kristin plans to adopt a second child.

"I had never thought about it because I was so worried about the first," Kristin says. "Once she came, I was like, 'Hey, I can do this, this is okay.'"

Katrina joins Anderson to talk about her 20-year cornstarch addiction, which food addiction specialist Dr. Mike Dow says can occur because of cornstarch's ability to flood the brain with serotonin. Cornstarch, however, is not the only substance that can cause such a chemical reaction.

Dr. Dow recommends turning to healthy foods that produce serotonin to boost your brain function.

• Low-Fat Dairy/Dairy Alternatives
  Examples: unsweetened almond milk, nonfat or reduced-fat cheese, fat-free cream cheese, low-fat cottage cheese, low-fat goat's milk, play low-fat soy yogurt, plain low-fat Greek yogurt, nonfat sour cream, skim or 1% milk.
• Whole Grains and Seeds
  Examples: barley, brown rice, buckwheat, flax seed, high-fiber tortilla, plain instant oatmeal, quinoa, soba noodles, spelt, steel-cut oats, whole-wheat pasta.
• Animal Protein
  Be sure to eat your protein unfried & unbreaded. Examples:

On Anderson's "My Food Obsession is Destroying My Life" show, one guest discusses her addiction to salt, explaining that she puts large amounts of it on everything from ham sandwiches to ketchup.

In his book, "Diet Rehab," food addiction expert Dr. Mike Dow explains that "salt raises our blood pressure and causes dehydration. Besides potentially creating cardiovascular problems, dehydration causes us to eat more when what we really crave is water."

Salt is also a contributing factor in heart attacks and strokes. Dr. Dow recommends finding salt alternatives, which will help spice up your meal without sacrificing your health.
