In a press conference held today, founder Mark Zuckerberg explained the latest crop of privacy changes to hit Facebook, aimed to "make privacy simpler." While he's quick to say that the detailed, granular privacy controls won't be going away, Facebook will make the controls feel less complicated to users. On the new privacy screen, you're able to view a visualization "recommended" settings under the headings "friends," "friends of friends," and "everyone." The screen provides one-click access to change all of your settings to fall into one of these categories, or to customize each setting individually.

There is also a category called "Basic Directory Information," which, with its own privacy control, lists basic information like hometown, current location, and your contact information. Since most of this information helps friends find you, users are encouraged to include this information. It's a much simpler-looking version of the current screen but hasn't lost any functionality.

I love my iPhone, but sometimes I wonder if I should blame my phone or my photography skills for the blurry pics that sometimes end up in my photo library. Cell phone picture quality can depend on a variety of factors including the number of megapixels and flash capabilities. If you happen to have a decent camera phone, here are some tips to help you take great pics.

• Keep your camera still - The more still your subject, the clearer your image will be. This is especially true in low-light environments where shutter speed is much longer.
• Make sure your subject is well-lit - If your camera doesn't have a built-in flash, try to take a pic in an environment with decent lighting. If you are indoors, simply turn on some lights!
• Get close - Because camera phones usually have low resolution, it's best to take images as close as you can, but be sure to stay within proper focus range.
• Keep your camera lens clean - We all know how dirty cell phones can get. Just

I love snapping photos of food, especially if I'm visiting a special restaurant, on vacation, or eating something completely delicious. Yeah, I know: cameras at the table are usually a no-no. But for me, food photos are an easy way to remember where I was, what I was doing, and how I felt at any time. Getting a good shot can be tricky, though. Between proper lighting and angles, if you don't get it just right, your photograph could end up an unappealing mess.

It's simple, it's speedy, and drag-and-drop functionality is, in my opinion, one of the best features any application can have. Now, finally, you can drag and drop attachments while using Gmail. Instead of clicking "Attach a file" and searching for attachments one by one, you can just drag the photo, document, or other attachment onto the message. It works with multiple files, too - so if you have a folder full of photos to share with a friend, just select all of them and drag them over to attach.
