i have to admit that last year i watched american idol. and my best memory of that show is a dress by nicole miller that jordin sparks wore. It was gorgeous. I have just found a babydoll version of that dress and it is my something blue for the week.

what do you think? isn't it gorgeous!

for this weeks cool spark of the week i found this cool tree shower curtain at a few different places. i really like the way it looks. i have no idea how it would look in a bathroom but has a very hip vibe.

you can find it at target, urban outfitters and a few other places. it runs about $40.

i was excited to see the new narnia movie this weekend. i thought it was beautifully put together. i had to remind myself a few times that it was a movie for "children" so i wasn't too cheesed out but overall really enjoyed it.

probably my favorite part of the entire movie was the song at the end called "the call" by regina spector…she is really incredible.

i think i like this one the best. it is a little dark/gloomy but with a bright red wall or rich wood i think it could look really cool.

when i moved to my new neighborhood i took a long walk around and came across this incredible window display at a tile store. i of course wanted to share it with everyone but low and behold had left my camera at home.

a few months later i came across it again and was armed and ready.

i was lucky to see the movie "once" this weekend and was completely blown away. this film is incredible. a few weeks back I bought the soundtrack because i had heard it was wonderful.

i encourage everyone to watch this movie…as alan would say "let it sink in". i did and it was a pure moment of spark.

cheers to Glen Hansard and Marketa Irglova whose voices are haunting yet empowering. and a big cheers to director john carney for his inspiring vision.

for my birthday this year i asked my mom to get me calligraphy classes as a gift and for the first time in months i had time to take the class.

last week was class #1. here are a few pics from class 1 and some of my practice work!

this was in the classroom.our teacher, william lung, was great. even his calligraphy on the giant white board was incredible.

this weekend i went out and got some fun pens and hope that someday soon i will be an expert!
