i am head over heels for these pillows that i found by koko company. the details are great and the texture really adds a great element.

i like these with a bit of purple!

mustard seems to be popular color. on the right bed this could be great.

    • dark wallpapers - yay or nay

i was walking on the street today in NYC and saw a gorgeous wall paper display. sadly my camera was dead and i could take any pictures :( but i was inspired to find some fun "dark" wall paper online. check out this gorgeous black and grey wallpaper. i love it in a bathroom.

(source: burke decor $60 for a double roll)

this one is a little too dark for me but could be gorgeous in the right room. you really need a room with a lot of natural light to use such dark wall papers.

This one is pretty funky. It would look good in a bathroom.

this pattern is also pretty nice.

check out more great wallpaper at the burke decor website.

it is very pricey at $70 but certainly interesting. you can buy it at mollaspace's website.

    • cb2 steals my heart -- and is cheap!

cB2 often steals my heart. i am loving some of their latest items. check out the "lamina" dinnerware line. ranging from only $1.95 to $3.95.

i am also obsessing over these lanterns/lights. don't they look great with the lamina dinnerware? the lights are a bit pricey at $99 each.

also, throughout the magazine they use rugs on the wall. interesting concept. i am loving both of these.

the wagami rug is $299 and the saigon rug is on sale for $249. you can buy all of these at cb2.com.

    • VIDEO:New Ways To Give Back - Online

From raising cash for campaigns and causes to lending a hand to individuals in need, the internet is changing the face of charity. Yahoo's Heather Cabot shows us how the web is giving people new ways to give back.

There is also evidence that the web is changing the patterns of more traditional, charitable giving. A 2008 survey by sea change strategies found that more than half of affluent donors - those who give more than 10-thousand dollars a year to charity -- now prefer to donate via the internet.

i was recently perusing my friend dina's blog (at some point i will share my obsession at looking at other people's blogs about their adorable children) and i came across her recently re-decorated children's room. she and her husband made over their children's room and did a kick butt job.

(the most adorable little boy ever! this is jack)

she is letting me share sam and jacks room with you! this is the boys room before they moved in - check out those green walls!

After they moved in and had jack, this is what the room looked like.

(check out the light blue walls - perfect for a little boy)

with the arrival of sam they needed another crib. and that is when they re-decorated the room. what an amazing job they did!

i love the names on the wall and the cribs. and how about those GREAT pictures next to the names. dina - you are an awesome mom...thank you for sharing the boys rooms with serendipity & spark.
