Today's parents are over-stressed and under too much pressure to produce the perfect kids, says Lori Gottlieb, therapist and author of the Atlantic article "How to Land Your Kid in Therapy: Why our obsession with our kids' happiness may be doing them to unhappy adulthoods."

"I think that parents are a lot more worried today," Gottlieb says. "They feel like, what they see on the news, what can go wrong ... they feel like they have to get [kids] a head start in a way they didn't in previous generations." Watch Gottlieb talk more about why parents are overstressed:

Whether it be doing baby brain boosters, or getting their children into the "right" preschool and the "right" college, Gottlieb thinks parents are really overworking themselves.

"Look at why you're making the choices you're making," Gottlieb says. "It is to keep up with the

Birth control for men: New research shows that the JQ1 molecule can make men temporarily infertile, which could help formation of effective male contraception; Susan Wysocki of iWoman's Health weighs in

Could a male birth control pill really be heading toward a pharmacy near you? Quite possibly, according to recent news.

While working on cancer inhibitor research, James Bradner, of Harvard University's Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, says he realized that molecule, named JQ1, can also inhibit a protein in the male testes that is imperative to fertility. So far, this has only been tested in mice, but the findings could be revolutionary, and human testings may begin in a year.

So how would this revolutionize the way women and men approach contraception and birth control? We reached out to Susan Wysocki, WHNP, FAANP and President at iWoman's Health to get her thoughts. Here's what she said...

One of the most common questions I get when lecturing about contraception is

      By Amy Chua | genConnect

Amy Chua, best-selling author and Professor of Law at Yale, typically writes about globalization and foreign policy. But in a "moment of crisis" after her teenage daughter rebelled, Chua decided to put pen to paper on a different topic -- parenting. Her book, Battle Hymn of the Tiger Mother, highlights the rewards-and costs-of raising her children using the strict "Chinese" tiger-style approach.

Watch our interview here with Chua on how to combine the best of Eastern and Western child-rearing styles.

Growing up with traditionally strict Chinese parents, Chua knows firsthand the differences between Eastern and Western parenting techniques. Although she is grateful and appreciative of her own strict upbringing, she believes there are takeaways from each culture.

"One thing that I think is great for western parents now is this instilling in young kids the ability to focus," Chua said. "Just a little more self discipline when they're very young

      50 Shades of Grey
is attracting attention everywhere you turn. This sultry trilogy combines many politically incorrect elements into one super-sexy erotic drama that seems to repel as many people as it attracts.

Why are these erotic fiction books creating such a stir? Perhaps it is because E. L. We can take the woman out of the forest, but we can't totally take the forest out of the woman.

There are basic differences between men and women that have led us to enact very different roles in our evolutionary history. Because women give birth, they have historically depended on men for some very important functions. In the past, a woman needed a man to care for her while pregnant, and to
