Decorator, furniture designer, wedding guru - you may have also seen her on TV. Her shimmering Beverly Hills bedroom would make anyone feel like a star.

Jane Margolies: When I see you on HGTV, you're so full of energy. Do you just bound out of bed in the morning?

Erinn Valencich: Actually I hit snooze, roll over, and sleep for another half-hour. My bed is so comfortable!

And beautiful. It's one of three beds in your furniture collection. What inspired the design?

Morocco was one influence. I wanted a sculptural headboard that would feel modern and elegant. The antiqued mirror and silver leaf give it the look of oyster shell. I'm sick of fully upholstered headboards.

It is padded, though. Is that for a softer look? For comfort sitting up in bed?

An upholstered headboard just adds a nice softness. The bedroom has a lot of hard surfaces - nightstands, armoires. There aren't a ton of soft goods.

This simple, hearty feast can go from any day to holiday with ease.

If this dish doesn't have a sense of occasion, I'm not sure what does. This gorgeous and impressive roast is special and elegant enough to say "Easter dinner," yet easy enough for just another Tuesday night at home. Whether it's a holiday or not, I can assure you few other presentations command the ceremony and awe a perfectly roasted leg of lamb straight from the oven does. Total crowd-pleaser - mark my words.

I know you'll be tempted to carve the meat right away, but I can't tell you how crucial it is to let it rest after it's cooked. I find that 15 minutes of resting is just about ideal to achieve the perfect pink and succulent medium temperature I love for lamb.

Personally, I don't like medium-rare lamb, but if you do, cook it about 10 to 12 minutes less than called for in the recipe here, and let it rest the same 15 minutes. If you're going for well-done, just let the lamb rest a bit longer - 30 to
