With all of the Spring 2011 and Fall 2011 beauty trends that we've been flooded with lately, choosing the right colors that will actually work for our skin tones can be a tough decision. To find a color that you know will look good no matter what the season, we called in makeup artist Annamarie Tendler who let us in on this little tip: sticking with shades in the gold family, especially brown/golds compliment just about every skin tone. Follow the steps below to get a gorgeous smokey eye look that is sure to look great on everyone!
Step 1:
Prime the eyelid from lash to brow with a light neutral shadow or face powder.
Step 2:

For really dark eyes, a gold or pinkish gold hue will make them stand out. This works especially well with light skin to warm the face.
Step 3:
Pick a darker color, like Goldmine by MAC, and apply from the lash line to the crease.

Sonia Kashuk, the makeup guru who brings high quality yet ever-affordable products to my favorite store, Target, walked me through her spring collections this morning, and lets just say we have good things in our future. With palettes full of corals, shimmery brights and neutrals Kashuk's line has something for everyone - and includes instructional pamphlets. What more could a girl want?
Well, I of course wanted details. I chatted with Kashuk about her inspiration for her products, how to wear that horribly frightening coral, and what her makeup must haves are. Read on below!
Spring 2011 Beauty: Lipsticks To Get You Through The Season
First of all, will you tell me about your colors for your spring line? Everything is so bright, shimmery and beautiful!
You know it's bright but it's wearable. So there is a big difference with that. I find that most women, not everybody, love shimmer and I think coming out ofOscar Beauty Must-Haves: Daniel Martin's Red Carpet Picks

Around this time every year, Hollywood's A-List comes together to honor the year's greatest achievements in film, schmooze with screen legends and industry up-and-comers, and strut their stuff on the reddest carpet of them all in what we have come to regard as the must-see fashion showdown of the season: it's the OSCARS! But anyone who has ever watched the awards ceremony or, at the very least, an episode of The Rachel Zoe Project knows that there's more to beating out the "Best Dressed" competition than just rocking the right gown - because what's a show-stopping Monique Lhuillier or ethereal Armani Prive without the right lip or lashes?

It may not feel like it now, but spring is just around the corner. In the next month or so, the snow will be gone for good, the birds will be chirping, flowers will bloom and we'll actually begin to see green again. And I'm not just talking about green grass and full trees, I'm talking full-on green makeup. We saw the beauty trend all over the Spring runways and lest you think it's just a passing phase, 3.1 Phillip Lim's beauty look proved that green will be sticking around for fall 2011. If you're bold enough to try to replicate the trend at home, here are a few of my favorite green products to get you started.More From BeautyHigh:

Since we've had quite an influx of beauty lately (I mean it's been hard to contain our excitement over here, with all of the gorgeous creations) we're a bit inspired to start playing with the new looks on ourselves. Even though it's not quite yet fall, there are a few runway looks that we may want to start jumping on now - or we just know ourselves well enough to know that we aren't patient enough to wait for the proper season.

Legendary hairstylist Danilo (who is responsible for the locks of stars such as Gwen Stefani and Katy Perry) teamed up with designers Cushnie et Ochs this season to create a sophisticated slicked back bun accessorized with a feather. I had the opportunity to chat with Carly Cushnie, Michelle Ochs and Danilo the day after the show to learn about the design duo, and how they worked together. Here are a few magnificent tidbits: the design duo were best friends all through school at Parsons, Michelle actually went to a military high school which is what got her interested in fashion (of all things), and Danilo calls Gwen his best friend. Could this threesome be any more fun? Read on for more from Pantene Celebrity Hair Stylist and Global Ambassador Danilo below!

Let's face it, there's nothing remotely comfortable about waxing. Tired of pre-wax anxiety and post-wax blisters, I sought out a gentler alternative: sugaring.
Sugaring is a form of hair removal performed with a natural sugar and water-based paste. There are two sugaring methods widely available: one in which paste is applied at lukewarm temperature and pulled off with strips, and another in which cool paste is massaged into the hair follicles in the direction of growth, slowly exfoliating new hair from its roots. As the latter version is hard to find in Manhattan (and takes longer to perform) I opted for the warm paste. Let the games begin.
In a lot of ways, lukewarm sugaring is similar to waxing. The honey-like paste is applied to hair with wooden sticks, and cloth strips are rubbed onto the area and then pulled off quickly, taking unwanted hair with them. The treatment can be performed all over the body,CFDA/ Vogue Fashion Fund's Behind The Scenes Sneak Peek

A collaboration of designers from the likes of Jason Wu, Phillip Lim, Alexander Wang, Prabal Gurung and Joseph Altuzarra sent over 60 looks down the runway tonight for the first-ever show of it's kind - the CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund Show (with none other than Andre Leon Talley as host). The show let regular consumers have access to fashion week - something that is typically secluded to editors and media.

It's no secret that one of our favorite things at Beauty High are nails - ah, the things we can do when stuck in the beauty closet with a new shipment of polishes. So, we are of course a bit excited about the prospect of new nail trends for Fall 2011, and with fashion week just mere moments away we stopped by a CND salon (to get shellac'd of course!) and chat with Co-founder and Style Director of CND, Jan Arnold, about what goes on in the weeks before fashion week.
Hairstylist Oribe Predicts Fall 2011's Hair Trends
Let's talk about pre-fashion week - what goes through your head when you're working with designers to create the right nail for each of the shows?
Ok, for me it's my favorite part of fashion week. I flew out two weeks ago to meet with seven designers, and what I love is that we like will go to their atelier, or go to their showroom, and what I like to do is to hear them talk
