Come Spring, I'm always looking to incorporate lively new furnishings and decorative items to my home. But there are so many fabulous finds out there in the décor world, I simply don't know where to start! So I thought I'd consult an expert for a bit of inspiration and guidance. The premiere of Sex and the City 2 is just around the corner - May 27! - and I'm brimming with excitement. I didn't think the interior design eye candy of the last movie could be beat, but now I'm positive it can! I've got my hands on some bona fide stills of the film featuring Carrie and Big's apar

Candles warm up your space, but all too often good candles are tossed out in the cold way before they're officially done. Throwing them out is not only a shame, but it's also a waste of money! Instead of trashing your burned-down bougies, freshen them up using this simple trick.

• Step One - Start by gathering your materials. For this project you need an old candle, a birthday candle, an empty votive, a knife or scissors, a pot, and some water.
• Step Two - Bring a pot of water to boil. You'll need enough water so that the wax part of the candle is below the water, but not so much that the water overflows into the top of the glass.
• Step Three - Carefully place your old candle into the hot water. I like to use tongs so that I don't burn myself.
• Step Four - Keep an eye on the candle as it starts to melt. It's a fairly slow process - this candle took about 10 minutes to completely melt. You want almost the entire thing to be liquid. I don't typically melt it

When it comes to eco-friendly housecleaning, white vinegar is like a magic potion, capable of cleaning everything from your washing machine to your mirrors. It's also the perfect solution to cleaning your coffee pot. Since you use your coffee pot often - maybe every day - and always for the same thing, it's easy to overlook cleaning it, but ideally, you should flush it out about once a month. Though I get around to this task far less often, a thorough cleaning will leave your coffee pot gleaming and your cup of Joe much tastier. Here's how:

1. First, wash the removable components (carafe, lid, filter basket) with warm water and soap. Let the components dry and replace the filter basket.
2. Using an eco-friendly all-purpose cleaner, spray the exterior of the coffee pot and the carafe platform and give it a good wipe down.
3. Next, fill the carafe with one part white vinegar and two parts water. Pour it into the reservoir, put the lid on the carafe, and set up the carafe as if you are

If you like it then you should put a frame on it. Handkerchiefs, bonnets, doilies, and pillows are common linens that are passed down through generations. Stained or worn to bits, the heirlooms sometimes reach their expiration dates sooner than we'd like. Before it's worn to shreds, salvage the item and the memories behind it by framing it in your home like I did with my late grandmother's apron. To see how I do it, just read more.

There are a number of ways to cleverly showcase a simple item. Decorative paper or soft fabrics can provide just the right oomph that a tired linen could use. I chose a soft raw silk and a washed green frame. After ironing the silk, I gently pressed the apron in the position I wanted it. I placed the glass over the ensemble, flipped it, and backed it with the rest of the frame. In an instant, a family memoir was hanging in my kitchen where my Grammy continues to inspire me from beyond.
