Equinox trainer Marybeth Weiss and New York City-based personal trainer Melissa Paris will ease your jitters with their tips and tricks for preparing yourself mentally and physically for the big day. By the time the first whistle blows, you'll be ready to don a uniform and high five your future teammates.
Pick Your Sport
"The first thing to consider is whether or not you like to work individually or as a team," says Weiss. "The second thing is to try or watch as many different sports as possible, preferably on the sideline but watching television works too. Finally, try out for the sport that looks like the most fun!"

The First Brow
"The area is cleaned before we begin and very little is taken off at a time," explains Shokou Shahidi Rezvani, of Thread in LA. "The thread is twisted in a manner that hair, even small ones, are caught between the thread and pruned out slowly. Hairs can be removed very accurately with threading.
