    • How to get kids to eat more vegetables

By Michelle Dudash, Health Expert for SheKnows.com

Vegetables provide many vitamins and nutrients that are important for your child's development. It is important to get your kids into the habit of eating their vegetables at an early age so they will enjoy eating their veggies into adulthood.

Here, we answer parents' commonly asked questions about food and kids.

COMMON QUESTIONS ABOUT VEGETABLES AND KIDS

When should parents start to encourage their kids to enjoy eating vegetables?

Infancy through the first few years of a child's life is a crucial time to set the stage for a lifetime of healthy eating. By being a positive role model and offering a variety of tastes and textures, you can get your baby off to a great start. Don't limit her only to the standard jarred baby food flavors. Once she's mastered thick purees, offer her different textures, such as very well steamed tiny broccoli florets or green bean niblets.

By Kit @ Blogging Dangerously for SheKnows.com

Did you and your partner have a great physical relationship before the baby was born, but now you're just not that into it? Are you wondering if your sex life is over forever?

First of all, congratulations on your new baby!

Your body did an amazing thing and it needs to recover. And once you've recovered physically, hormones and sleep deprivation can still conspire to sap your sex drive.

But there are definitely things you can do to enjoy your body and your husband's body, in the mean time.

    • Should cameras be allowed in delivery rooms?

      By Kim Grundy for SheKnows.com

Some parents-to-be might cringe at the thought of videotaping the birth of their child. For others, documenting a delivery is a way to hold on to special memories for years afterward. Now that hospitals are increasingly banning cameras and video recorders in the delivery room, what do you think?

Should cameras be allowed in delivery rooms?

Expecting parents packing for the hospital may find that hospitals are requiring them to keep their cameras and video recorders packed up until after the baby is born. A growing number of hospitals, including NYU, Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston and Georgetown University Hospital in Washington, are restricting photography and videography during births.

"When we had people videotaping, it got to be a bit of a media circus," Dr. Erin E. Tracy of Massachusetts General Hospital told the New York Times. "I want to be 100 percent focused on the medical care, and in this litigious atmosphere,

Valentine's Day is easy when kids are little. Young kiddos only need a class party, cartoon Valentine cards, and loads of sugar to make it special.

Parenting teens and tweens through this romantic holiday is a different story. Chances are you'll have to parent your teen through a first crush, love, or heartbreak around Valentine's Day at least once.

Think back to your own adolescent years. Everything -- everything! -- in your emerging romantic life was so…fraught! Full of drama and elation and difficulty and new feelings and unknown meaning and joy and hurt! High highs and low lows.

Little things felt like everything was perfect -- or the end of the world. Of course it wasn't perfect or the end of the world, but the point is it felt like it. And it may feel that way to your teen child now. As such, the expectation of Valentine's Day may feel daunting.

    • Be honest: Would you get cosmetic surgery?

By Becky Sherrick Harks for SheKnows.com

With "mommy makeovers" on the rise, many women are considering plastic surgery as a way to get their pre-baby bodies back. Blogger Aunt Becky of Mommy Wants Vodka offers her opinion to mothers considering plastic surgery.

      The question:

I know you recently had a cosmetic surgery procedure and were pretty open about it. So I need help. I have four kids. FOUR! I breastfed... for a long time. I had two c-sections. I am a good mom, darn it. But I don't recognize myself anymore. I can log 24 hours a day at the gym, but those boobs aren't going to return to where they belong! So I want them surgically put back. However, I'm worried about what message that will send to my daughters. What do you think? Give it to me straight.

      Aunt Becky answers:

Oh Prankster (I call my readers Pranksters, and since you're reading this, I'll call you Pranksters, too), I'm so excited for your new boobs! Is that really weird?

      (Don't answer that.)
