Everyone was waiting with anticipation to see what Jennifer Lawrence would wear to the Golden Globe Awards. It was her hair, however, that stole the show.

"When I saw Jennifer's Dior Couture gown I immediately knew I wanted to pull her hair up to accentuate the amazing silhouette of the dress," said Mark Townsend, Dove celebrity stylist, of the intricately braided updo.

At first look the style may look too complicated to master, but the how-to steps are surprisingly simple:

Step 1: Start by applying a large dollop of Dove Style+Care Nourishing Curls Whipped Cream Mousse($4.89, drugstore.com) to damp hair and dry with a diffuser attachment to encourage natural curls.

Step 2: Next, take random sections of hair and spray them with a flexible hold hairspray before wrapping them around a 1/2 inch curling iron to enhance the curls.

Naomi Watts Whether you just got new bangs or are in the process of growing out fringe, you know how challenging it can be to make bangs behave themselves. We spoke with Frank Cassi Beauty Stylist Greg Reis on his tips and tricks for making hair stay put.

For Side-Swept Bangs
"It all starts with the very beginning of your blow dry," says Reis. "If you allow your hair to air dry, it will dry in the direction that the hair grows." Here are his steps for getting side-swept bangs to stay in place:

Step 1: Start with wet bangs, and separate them into four sections.
Step 2: Put a very small amount of medium-hold gel, like Phyto Strong ($32.78, sears.com), onto each section.
Step 3: Blow dry the bangs using a small round brush in a diagonal direction to the side you want to wear them.
Step 4: Spray a little hair spray into your hands and run it through the bangs to hold them in place.

We happen to think Kate Bosworth's different colored eyes are pretty striking. If you thought gruesome sounding cosmetic procedures like butt injections and leech detoxes were bad, a story in the New York Times today will make you cringe. The article explores the underground market for iris implants, which can be used to change eye color for cosmetic reasons, but aren't approved for use in most countries since ophthalmologists generally consider the implants a terrible idea. A woman born with two different colored eyes, a condition called heterochromia, paid $7,000 to have the surgery performed in Panama. Two years after the procedure, her vision started to get "spotty" and she had to have the implants removed, though her vision didn't completely return to normal. One doctor is now working to try to ban the surgery.
