Sephora Collection Bulls Eye Lash Applicator I'm a beauty editor and I still hadn't perfected false lashes. That is, until I tried this lash applicator ($12, Sephora.com). With its rubber-coated grip, I'm able to rest the false lash on the lash line without messing up my makeup or getting glue on my fingers.

Kate Hudson Almay Intense i-Color Bold Nudes And Smart Shade Mousse Makeup Launch
It's really hard not to love Kate Hudson. Whether she's playing a groupie band aid in Almost Famous or ruining lives in Glee, she's the person you want to be, or at least become best friends with. After meeting her last night at Almay's product launch, I can tell you she is as beautiful, funny and thin as she seems on the big screen, and it's really unfair. She was happy to chat about all things beauty, including the weird beauty ritual she performs.

When Kate's skin is looking dull and tired, she swears by this trick: "A makeup artist who has worked with dozens of people said 'I used to work with this actor and every day he would stick his face in an ice bath. A little water and a lot of ice. And he would just stick his face in and try to be in there as long as he could, sort of dab off, and go back in.' I started doing it."And how long does Kate keep her head in the freezing water? "It depends

But it seems that as we near 2013, even celebs known for their out-there images are taking a turn toward more natural beauty looks. Just look at this photo of Demi Lovato taken on set of The X Factor last night.

The singer - who has played with multi-colored tips, an extreme bouffant and super bold makeup - is now embracing her natural hair color, demure pink lipstick and blush, and a classic cat-eye. What we love about this look is that it's still anything but boring. Demi even added a few fun details with a mustard yellow eye shadow and a funky diagonal/color blockedmani.
Demi hasn't been the only one to ditch the crazy hair and makeup for a more glamorous look. Katy Perry and Ke$ha have

If the current bold It Brow, as seen on beauties like Keira Knightley and Cara Delevigne and on the runway at Marc Jacobs, hasn't been enough to sway you from too much tweezing, maybe this will: "The thicker the brows, the more youthful they are," says Jaimineey Patel, brow guru and UK manager for B London, a chain of brow bars with outposts in New York - including a popup at Topshop through December 23 - and across the pond. Here are three reasons this less-is-more approach is better. Trust us!

When I met Patel, she instantly knew I was left-handed. How? Because my left eyebrow was slightly thinner than my right. Apparently, DIY pluckers almost always start tweezing on their dominant side; by the time they move on to the other brow, they're not quite as zealous. Patel says this is one of the most-

Take a look at it from the back below.
We love how this updo is a take on the faux bob trend we've been seeing everywhere lately, from Kerry Washington at the American Music Awards to Nicole Richie. The only difference with this style is that all of the hair is folded underneath. The faux bob allows women with longer hair to enjoy a shorter style, while this updo lets those with a bob or shoulder length cut to go even shorter.
Here are three steps to getting the look:
Step 1: To create texture, curl 1 to 2-inch sections of hair using a medium barrel curling iron.
Emily BluntStep 2: Gather hair with your fingers and tie an elastic at the very end of the strands.
Step 3: Roll all of the hair under the elastic and tuck toward the nape of the neck. Unlike the faux bob, make sure all of the hair is off the neck. FYI: You can also tell5 Zero-Commitment Ways to Change Your Hair

Growing numbers of salons these days are offering these add-on pieces, which attach to hair with a barrette-like fastener and (unlike extensions that are sewn or glued) can be removed and reattached easily.
The pieces can also be cut, styled and colored to create a variety of looks with top-notch results. "Fun and glamourous" is how Michael Angelo, founder and creative director of Michael Angelo's Wonderland Beauty Parlor in New York, describes the service, which the salon recently added to its menu using high-quality Balmain Hair+ clip-ins ($36 and up, wonderlandbeautyparlor.com).
"It's about everybody saying, 'Your hair's never looked better," not adding obvious length, he explains. Think red carpet, not Real Housewives. So what can you do with the pieces? The possibilities are pretty much endless.
