Take a look at it from the back below.
We love how this updo is a take on the faux bob trend we've been seeing everywhere lately, from Kerry Washington at the American Music Awards to Nicole Richie. The only difference with this style is that all of the hair is folded underneath. The faux bob allows women with longer hair to enjoy a shorter style, while this updo lets those with a bob or shoulder length cut to go even shorter.
Here are three steps to getting the look:
Step 1: To create texture, curl 1 to 2-inch sections of hair using a medium barrel curling iron.

Step 3: Roll all of the hair under the elastic and tuck toward the nape of the neck. Unlike the faux bob, make sure all of the hair is off the neck. FYI: You can also tell

Growing numbers of salons these days are offering these add-on pieces, which attach to hair with a barrette-like fastener and (unlike extensions that are sewn or glued) can be removed and reattached easily.
The pieces can also be cut, styled and colored to create a variety of looks with top-notch results. "Fun and glamourous" is how Michael Angelo, founder and creative director of Michael Angelo's Wonderland Beauty Parlor in New York, describes the service, which the salon recently added to its menu using high-quality Balmain Hair+ clip-ins ($36 and up, wonderlandbeautyparlor.com).
"It's about everybody saying, 'Your hair's never looked better," not adding obvious length, he explains. Think red carpet, not Real Housewives. So what can you do with the pieces? The possibilities are pretty much endless.
GQ Men Of The Year Award 2012I was taken aback when I saw this photo of Adrien Brody and his girlfriend, Lara Lieto. She's gorgeous, of course, but I was more intrigued by her hair that goes well past her tiny waist.

Most women have grown up with the idea that long hair is better. Magazines tell us men prefer it, ads tell us how to make it longer and stronger, and images of mermaids and princesses with long, flowing locks are plastered everywhere. But how long is too long?
For me, three factors determine how long a woman's hair should be:

I remember watching an episode of The Oprah Show, and a 50-something ex-model was saying that she had recently made the decision to cut her hair. She explained that she was playing golf when a man in his early 20s saw her from behind and started hitting on her. When she turned around to face him, he was visibly surprised by her age and walked off. She said it was then that she realized she didn't want to look like she was

Kristen Stewart may have looked the best we've ever seen her at the Twilight: Breaking Dawn - Part 2 premiere in Los Angeles. From those glossy, side-parted waves to her shimmering gold eye shadow and berry lip, this is one look we're dying to copy. And with holiday party season gearing up, we'll have plenty of chances to try it. You, too?
"I used iridescent shadow so the light would bounce off her eyes and contrasted bitten, almost stained lips with Kristen's porcelain skin," said makeup artist Jillian Dempsey, who prepped the actress for red carpet. Dempsey used Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua Ultra-Light Skin Perfecting Makeup SPF 15 ($45, saksfifthavenue.com) to even out Kristen's skin tone and Chanel Correcteur Perfection Long Lasting Concealer ($40, chanel.com) under the eyes, setting the complexion with Koh Gen Do Maifanshi Natural Lighting Powder ($42, barneys.com). She added Chanel Powder Blush in In Love ($43, nordstrom.com) for subtle flush on the cheeks.

POUFS_THENThere was a time when you couldn't turn your head without being hit by someone else's pouf. Even hair goddess Lauren Conrad rocked a baby pouf in 2005. We thought those big hair days were behind us, but recent red carpet appearances have us wondering if the style is back.
Officially known as the pompadour, the hairstyle was named after Louis XV's mistress, who was known for wearing her hair in the exaggerated style. Since then, it's been associated with rockabilly music and musicians. Around 2004, everyone started wearing the look, and pop culture history was made when Snooki came onto the Jersey Shore scene claiming, "I invented the pouf."
At this year's MTV Music Video Awards, the pouf was brought back bigger than ever by Miley Cyrus. Pink has also been wearing the same sky-high style lately.
In this past week alone, Ashlee Simpson wore a teased up hairstyle to a Macy's event, and Julianne Hough wore a tame version of the bouffant to the Twilight Saga: Breaking DawnRead More »from Is the Pouf Coming Back?

Speaking of Ryan Reynolds' ladies, Blake Lively also went red for a role, but her blonde locks suit her so much better.

Claire Danes4. Claire Danes
The Homeland started her career as a redhead on My So Called Life, and later went brunette for a role as Juliet, but her skin absolutely glows as a blonde.

Aren't sure where to part your own hair? Well, it turns out there's a science to figuring out which part flatters your facial features most. Eufora Global Educator and Stylist, Jeffrey Mayo, gives his tips on how to get your most flattering side-part with these four easy steps:
Step 1: Everyone has a strong and weak side of their face. To find it, look in the mirror and hold up a piece of printer paper to one side of the face.
Step 2: Now, move the paper to the opposite side and notice the features on that side as well. Move the paper back and forth between the two sides of the face until the slight differences between the symmetry of the featuresRead More »from Get the Perfect Part for Your Hair in 4 Easy Steps

Retro hairstyles can be hit or miss (remember Julianne Hough's Emmys flapper 'do?). But Nicole Richie's vintage-inspired faux bob, which the actress sported on the recent Baby2Baby Gala red carpet, managed to be the perfect mix of old school and modern. We got the scoop on how to recreate the look from hair stylist Luke Chamberlain, who styled the "glamorous 1920s-inspired hairdo."

The singer debuted the new hairstyle while sitting center court with Jay-Z at the Nets vs. Raptors game in Brooklyn November 3. The pop star, who's set to perform at Super Bowl XLVII in February, chose a face-framing fringe that's longer on the sides and blends into her hair's layers - a look that's similar to one she sported in 2010. She also paired the new bangs with one of our favorite hair trends for this season: sleek, straight locks.
