Charlize Theron always has the prettiest red carpet hairstyles, and this is no exception. The actress pulled her hair back into a side pony. Instead of using an elastic, she tied a thick strand around the base of the ponytail to create a knot. To keep in place, she secured with bobby pins and hairspray.
Audrina Patridge's long side pony has an 80s vibe to it. The reality star pulled the hair back on the sides with subtle twists, loosely curled the pony and amped it up with voluminous side bangs.
Keke Palmer from Nickelodeon's True Jackson VP paired a messy plait with the top sleek and pulled together. To recreate, make sure to gather hair tightly and style without a part. After braiding, pull the ends to get a loose,

Finally, the perfect winter-to-spring transition color! Kate Bosworth rocked a pink lipstick with plum undertones recently, adding color to her face without going too bold. For a lip like Kate's, try Essence Stay With Me Long-Lasting Lipgloss in Hottest Pink ($2.29, ulta.com).
Sure, Ke$ha has some punk-rock looks most of us can't pull off, but from time-to-time, she gets it right. Take this neon orange lipstick, for example: the shade suited her dress perfectly, added a pop of color to her look, and was perfectly on trend with spring shades. We like The Body Shop Honey Bronze Lip Nectar in Honey Bunch ($13, thebodyshop-usa.com) for an orange color lip color, and we think Ke$ha would too.

This spring is all about bright lips, shimmery smoky eyes and flawless, natural-looking skin--three makeup looks that aren't easy to pull off. So when I met up with celebrity makeup artist Mally Roncal (a favorite of Jennifer Lopez, Beyoncé, and Ashlee Simpson) to celebrate her makeup brand's 7th year anniversary (a true QVC hit), I squeezed her for some of this season's most essential makeup how-to tips.

It seems that almost every celebrity who walks down the red carpet these days is sporting a bright lip. The look is fresh, flirty and a welcome change after years of slicking on sheer lip gloss. But, bright lips can definitely be daunting. "It may seem really scary, but you have to train your eye to get used to it. Force yourself to wear it one day, then see how many compliments you get. Watch how great, bright, beautiful and amazing everyone says you look, then you'll get used to it, Read More »from 3 Makeup Tips Every Girl Should Know Right Now

Beauty Questions Answered1. Cold Sores
"If you get cold sores regularly, get a prescription for an oral medication that can be started at the first sign of a cold sore," Dr. Berson says. "To reduce swelling, apply a mixture of antibiotic and cortisone ointments." Carmindy recommends the following to mask a healing sore: "First, mix a little dab of Abreva Cold Sore Medicine ($15.29, Soap.com) with some of your foundation and apply it to the area using a Q-Tip. Dab another disposable Q-Tip dipped into a little yellow-tinted loose powder on the area to set the makeup."
Try at-home treatments that contain a high percentage of salicylic acid--brands like Compound W make pads ($7.67, Drugstore.com)
One of the things we love so much about the beauty industry is that there are so many options. There's never just a pink lipstick. Instead, there's a fuchsia, bubblegum, rose and about a million shades in between. So when a new line comes out, I'm always excited for the new choices ahead. And with Marc Jacobs creating a makeup line for the near future, I know we at Daily Makeover will not be disappointed!

"I see makeup, fragrance - everything, really - as an opportunity," Jacobs told WWD. "The idea of choosing a color for your lip, or an eyeliner - it's just such a delight. The ritual of waking up and making those choices is something people really enjoy."
A designer venturing into the makeup industry is by no means new. So can we expect anything new from one of our favorite designers?

Uh oh, Demi Lovato, your face is two shades paler than your body! Sandy Linter, Lancôme's Beauty At Every Age expert, advises, "When foundation is too pale, take a powder blush and deepen underneath your cheek bones and across forehead for some warmth. Then, take a damp sponge and press it into the skin, do not wipe. This should revitalize the color of your skin and make your mistake work."
2. Clumpy Eyelashes
Walking around with clumped together, spidery eyelashes like Kim Kardashian's would probably get you nothing but weird looks. "Please only ever apply two coats. You need to determine the strength of your lashes as you would you hair. If your lashes are thin, don't use a lash thickener. Use something milder that will slightly build up your lashes," Linter says. If your lashes are already clumped, take a spiral brush and remove the mascara by swirling against the lashes.

The Hunger Games' Jennifer Lawrence needed those long locks for her character's signature side braid. But we personally love when this up-and-comer goes blonde with soft, wispy waves. Long hair tends to have more breakage, so to keep stragglers in place, try John Freida Touch-Up Flyaway Tamer ($5.99, target.com).
Who doesn't envy The Vampire Diaries' Nina Dobrev's long, flowing strands, whether they're down or in an intricate fishtail braid? She's revealed that the secret to her healthy hair is the result of advice that came from her mother. Use a hair mask every third wash. We love the MoroccanOil Restorative Hair Mask ($41, beautycollection).
There is no denying that Blake Lively's long golden locks always have volume! To get soft waves like this Gossip Girl star, wrap large sections of dry hair around a 1.5 inch
I always feel hesitant to talk about expensive products I enjoy, because I know there isn't always room in people's budgets for such decadent treatments. However, what kind of beauty editor would I be if I didn't talk about the creams I use and love?
When SK-II invited me to meet their brand ambassador, Cate Blanchett, and talk about the new LXP Ultimate Perfecting Cream ($350, Shop.sk-ii.com), I'll admit I was more excited about the former. Cate is, afterall, one of my favorite actresses, and since she doesn't cover the pages of every tabloid known to man (ahem, Lindsay Lohan), she remains a bit of a mystery. It was soon after our interview, though, that I knew I had to get my hands on the cream.
Cate's skin has a natural glow to it, one that I was able to see up close at the event. She is poreless, and it is honestly hard to not just stare at her creamy complexion when near her. The actress credited SK-II with her amazingRead More »from Pricey Products that Are Totally Worth It

Not all of us are as naturally endowed as Brooke Shields. By that, we are referring to her eyebrows that have been envied for decades. Now more celebs like Rooney Mara and Pretty Little Liars' Lucy Hale (at left) are strutting their naturally thick brows as it becomes one of spring's hottest new trends.
Who doesn't love a natural makeup look that is also quick to recreate? Full eyebrows frame the face, especially the eyes, and can give you an overall younger, fresher look.

But beware: make sure that your brows are in proportion to your face so you don't fall into the danger zone of bushy brows. To shy away from a manly brow, make sure that the arch is strong and visible.
"The only mannish result I see is when the brow is thick and doesn't have an arch," Anastasia Soare from Anastasia Beverly Hills Cosmetics told us. "This shape creates an expressionless look that is way too harsh off the runway."
