    • How to Make Your Hair Grow Longer

Long hair is one of the most sought-after styles for women. Are we really surprised, though? From a young age, girls are taught that a good head of hair can not only land you a prince, it can save your life (Thanks, Rapunzel!). In many cases, though, long hair is easier said than grown, so we turned to some of the leading stylists to get their tips for growing long, luscious strands.

      Schedule Regular Trims
You should make an appointment to see your stylist every six to eight weeks for a trim. According to Fernando Salas, creator of White Sands Hair Care, "Split ends and damaged cuticles will cause your hair to appear thinner with that unwanted 'stringy' look. Long hair should always be thick and not weaken toward the ends."

You will most likely only need to cut 1/2 an inch at each hair appointment, but if this tip seems counter-productive to your goal, then remember this fact from Danielle

Women already invest in sexy heels to score a date, but Malaysian retailer Shoes Shoes Shoes (we know, very clever) has cashed in on our prosti-shoe-tion. The store has teamed with a dating site to bring every one of its customers a future discount... and a boyfriend.

Men who sign up with Lunch Actually can select one pair of shoes from a list of 20 that they'd like to see on a romantic partner. They also pick the percentage of the price tag they're willing to pay for a date. Then, women who shop at Shoes Shoes Shoes are matched with a man who liked their kicks, and receive a discount on the next pair if they meet the guy for lunch.

There's no such thing as a free lunch, but free shoes are no myth. Would you date for a discount, or is flirting for footwear too tawdry?

    • 5 Fun Facts About Bethenny Frankel & Skinnygirl Skin Care

I consider myself a pretty big Bethenny Frankel fan. I've followed her since the first season of The Real Housewives of New York and I read her book, A Place Of Yes, as soon as it came out, so you can imagine how excited I was to find out I would be interviewing her about the new Skinnygirl skin care line (There might have been a squeal or two...). Here are 5 fun things i learned during our meeting:

      1. Bethenny is exactly like she is on her reality show, potty mouth and all!

On why she wanted a skin care line, Bethenny said, "I wanted an anti-bullshit, straight-forward line. I saw products that are so expensive, making false promises with trendy, trigger ingredients that would people feel like they would get this amazing benefit. It's duping the consumer with high price tags, when the money is all in the packaging, rather than in the product, and I wanted to improve things."

    • Would You Get Surgery for Bold Brows?

We know the bold brow is a hot trend this season but we never thought people would go to such lengths as plastic surgery to get the latest beauty craze.

There is a new surgery called uGraft Restoration Procedure that is gaining popularity. The $6,000 to $8,000 procedure involves transplanting hair from the nape of the neck or leg to the brows. This hair has the same texture and growth cycle as the eyebrows, making them blend naturally. The process that takes up to four hours because hundreds of hairs have to be added individually.

Hair transplants are nothing new. The procedure was first introduced for burn victims and later, men and women with thinning hair.

Women have been coming to Los Angeles based plastic surgeon Sanusi Umar to treat thinning eyebrows with the transplants. Surprisingly, the trend has also gotten very big with men. "Men want thicker eyebrows even though they seem to have what looks like a

    • Everyone's Mad for the 50s/60s Look

The new season of Mad Men is premiering Sunday, and it seems we aren't the only ones excited for a little Don Draper time. Terry Richardson recently shot a 50s-themed photo spread for Harper's Bazaar with Miranda Kerr as his subject. The photos are breathtaking and have us wondering if Miranda was possibly born in the wrong era. More importantly, we can't help but feel a little lazy when looking at the hair and makeup trends of that time.

It seems like back in the 50s and 60s, women didn't dare walk out the door unless their hair was perfectly curled and their lips were painted red. These days, it's all about the "natural look," which means sheer makeup (except for a pop of pink here and there) and just-fell-out-of-bed waves. And while we appreciate the right to a more relaxed beauty routine, we can't help but feel nostalgic for the gold powder compacts and attention to detail.

Bright colors are all the rage for spring, so it's no wonder that lipstick is having a major moment.

More and more women are turning to lipstick as their main makeup accessory. Instead of choosing cheaper options, women are purchasing $30-40 lipsticks because they purchase less often, only every three to six months.

Bold lip colors are in every spring collection, from M.A.C. and Tom Ford, to Bobbi Brown who usually focuses on natural colors. Her "Atomic Orange" lipstick is already sold out!

      TRIA Skin Perfecting Blue Light

When you have the money and time, getting a laser treatment at the dermatologist's office can do amazing things for your acne. For the rest of us, there's TRIA Skin Perfecting Blue Light ($245, Triabeauty.com). The hand-held device emits the same powerful blue light used by doctors' lasers, and it's incredibly easy to use. Once you turn it on, the beeping timer reminds you to move the light around to different areas, and it alerts you when you've reach your time limit for the day (TRIA should only be used 5 minutes a day). The light kills acne-causing bacteria, so your blemishes disappear and they are less likely to come back.

    • Can Math Predict Celebrity Divorce?!

In 2006, New York Times writer John Tierney paired up with statistician Garth Sundem to create a mathematical equation that could predict the longevity of celebrity marriages. With five years of data at their disposal, the NYT team has revamped their marriage quotient, and they put some of our favorite couples on the fast track for divorce.

The equation foresaw the splits of celebs like Demi Moore and Ashton Kutcher, as well as Britney Spears and K-Fed, while predicting the 15-year-mark for couples like Matt Damon and his wife Luciana and Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner.

Tierney and Sundem originally predicted that fame is a factor in celebrity break ups, but now they insist that it is the type of fame (legitimate or tabloid) that holds weight in a relationship. Sundem told the Times, "It turns out that overall fame doesn't matter as much as the flavor of the fame. It's tabloid fame that

H&M, Saks 5th Avenue and Macy's have already begun stocking the winning designs from NBC's new fashion reality competition, Fashion Star. Unlike Project Runway, each episode of Fashion Star will end with the winning ensemble being sold to the highest retail bidder, and it will then hit stores and e-commerce sites that very night.

This marks the first time a reality design competition, of which Bravo and Lifetime have ensured there are many, has sought to appeal to shoppers and turn viewers into an interactive presence on the judging panel. Jessica Simpson, John Varvados and Nicole Richie are the official judges, alongside host Elle MacPherson, but they will be joined by buyers from the three mega-retailers who duke it out in a bidding war for the winning garment.

Each episode will require the designers to create looks based on the practical needs of shoppers, instead of abstract

    • I Tried It: Body Contouring Lipomassage

This is year that I'm going to tighten up my tummy. I mean business. I'm just so fed up with having a mushy muffin-top, and I have no more excuses since I'm not planning on having any more kids. The problem is that after having weathered some pretty big phases of weight gain during my pregnancies, I fear that diet and exercise alone won't give me the results I want. Actually, I know they won't, because it's been a solid year that I've been working out religiously and eating pretty cleanly, and though I've lost a lot of weight, my stomach still spills out of my jeans.

Since I've given the good old-fashioned muscle method a thorough go (and always will), I've decided that it's time to get some extra "help." I contemplated a tummy tuck, but it seems too invasive, and I freaked out after watching Kate Gosselin's consultation (which also made me feel a little bit better about my stomach
