From the front, the ponytail looks simple and disheveled in a sexy bedhead sort of way (matching her makeup perfectly). But from the back, it has more of a retro vibe. See below for a close-up.

Her hair was actually pinned up into a French twist, giving the back of the hair volume. But instead of tucking all of the hair into the twist, it was pulled through to create a makeshift pony.
