Bye Bye Piggy...
Sometimes, regardless of the fact that you know you should workout, you just somehow can't convince yourself to. In fact, you have pretty much become a pro at convincing yourself otherwise. You are able to justify exactly why you don't have to work out and why it's ok for you to eat that entire bag of M&Ms… until the next am when you regret that decision. Next time weakness and unhealthy justification is threatening to jeopardize your diet, turn to good old piggy and drop a dollar in it's belly (to help you shrink yours).
In the end, you won't regret working out, but you will regret NOT working out. You won't regret skipping that brownie, but you may regret eating it. It's time to do away with the excuses, stop living with regrets and be proactive in your decision to live fit (even if that means bribing yourself with a $1).

QuickieChick's $10 Abs
Ask the average person if it's possible to lose weight on $10 a week and they will say "yeah, starve!" Ask an average college student if it's possible to lose weight on $10 a week, and they say "yeah, coupons and discount stores!" It's time to rethink healthy eating and realize that you don't have to be wealthy to eat healthy, and even lose weight. If a ravenous college student can do it, so can you!
You've probably either seen or heard of the extreme couponing shows where people load up on hundreds of dollars of loot and only pay a few bucks thanks to their collection of coupons. Forget fast food, there are a TON of ways to save money on groceries: Coupons, Savings Cards, Buying in bulk, Discount Stores. Yes, if you're trying to eat healthy by eating in, you don't need to be limited by your budget. The 99 Cents Only Store, Food for Less, Costco, Sam's Club, and Smart and Final are just some of the many markets that sell fresh produce, eggs,

Want to lose weight without going to the gym? Take advantage of some of life's greatest (and surprisingly fat burning) pleasures like sleep, sex, acupuncture, laughter, and just breathing deeply-no diet, no sweat.
1. Lose Weight by Having Sex--
Sex is a great way to lose weight. In fact, the average sex session burns 150 to 250 calories per half hour-depending on how athletic your sex tends to be. Dr. Laura Berman, PhD, LCSW, America's leading sex and relationship expert, has said that sex is definitely a good workout-- even if you aren't extremely acrobatic, as sex naturally gets your heart rate up, which in turn improves circulation and burns calories and fat. By practicing positions other than just missionary, you are also engaging different muscle groups, so it can be both a cardio and toning exercise.
2. Lose Weight with Acupuncture and Herbs--

Food Network star, celebrity chef, mom, and amazing chick all together Giada De Laurentiis is around food all day, yet she somehow manages to stay fit, energized, and gorgeous thanks to the little things… lots of little things- I call them DailyQuickies.
Giada De Laurentiis
Sure, a daily workout routine is fantastic, and choosing the grilled over the fried chicken is a great idea if you want to stay slim, but more than the major decisions, it's often the little things in life- the decision to take the stairs instead of the escalator, the decision to snack on yogurt instead of a chocolate bar, the decision to exfoliate your skin before bed instead of falling asleep with makeup on- it's often those little things that make up the beautiful big picture. And Giada is living proof! She shared a few of her QuickieTips with us including:

The holidays are known for forgetting your diet, letting your hair down, and overindulging! Don't let that one-too-many leave you in less than festive spirits tomorrow. Use food to help your liver better break down the alcohol, getting it out of your system faster and without the residual throbbing head. Here are a few tips on how you can have your cocktail, and drink it too.

Asparagus is something you'll want to get a hold of before throwing back that lost cocktail. Order it with dinner, grill up a few pieces while applying your makeup at home. There is a reason this stuff makes your pee smell! It's flushing toxins out of your body.

I'm not about to suggest that you starve yourself of holiday joy (of eating). Just make smart choices on what and when to gorge, and try these 7 ways to not gain a pound this holiday season:
1. Stop the "It's a Special Occasion" Excuse.
It's easy to rationalize any day as being a special occasion. That doesn't mean you have to celebrate it through your stomach. Sure, eat the slice of pie on the big night with the fam, but don't eat another slice or two for breakfast just so it "doesn't go to waste." Because guess what… it will go to your waist.
2. Workout 6 days a Week for 45-60 minutes.
Get your heart rate up, get out of breath, break a sweat, and burn calories- whether on the basketball court, in an aerobics class, playing the new Your Shape Fitness Evolved on Kinect for Xbox360, or during a QuickieWorkout in bed. Just do SOMEthing.

I don't get why tabloid magazines continue to "expose" celebrities with cellulite when the fact is that 85% of women- both fat and thin, have it! Another little-known fact about cellulite: it's not fat's fault. Which is actually bad news because since it's not a fat problem, dieting and exercise is not the curative… but it can help minimize the appearance and fight it off before it attacks in the first place.
Finally confident in a bikini
Cellulite is free-floating fat cells that have penetrated a weakened lattice of connective tissue bands separating the layer of normal fat from the dermis (the middle layer of skin), and have become trapped just below the surface of the skin. There are 3 causes of the sticky stuff:
-Hormones (which is why men infrequently get it)
-Genetics (Thanks a lot mom!)
-Lifestyle (that's all on you).
Similar to diabetes and hypertension, despite its prevalence, doctors have yet to find a definitive cure for cellulite. However, they have come up with some

I may be unconventional when it comes to dieting and exercise, but I know that what do works for me, and really that's all that matters. Oh, and I know that I am staying thin and fit in a healthy way- which also matters! Having been a healthy living, fitness, and diet writer for tons of magazines for over 10 years, I have learned lots of trade-tricks, tried too many diets, and finally figured out how to maintain a healthy lifestyle without any weird (or too weird) habits. I am a foodie, love chocolate and cocktails, but believe in moderation and living a fit life (as opposed to viewing working out as a chore).Read More »from Why You Don't Need to Count Calories or Weigh Yourself (Secrets from a Fitness Writer)
Here's what works for me. Might work for you too.
I DON'T Count Calories
Counting calories is great for people who aren't yet familiar with the approximate caloric value of certain foods. It's a good way to start to familiarize yourself with what is considered to be "healthy" and "bad." Like using the scale to measure your weight instead of gauging your size by your clothes,

Numbers stress me out. Similar to my aversion to tracking my size by the scale (I prefer tester jeans- which I will tell you about in another post), I track the minutes that I run by songs. You see, I have never been a runner. In fact I have always hated, yes, hated running. I felt like I couldn't breathe as every second seemed to take a minute. It was painful. But oddly, not so much physically painful as it was emotionally painful.
"5 Minutes Left" Stresses Me Out!
For a short period I had a trainer. He told me that the only way I could improve my cardio ability was to run. I cancelled the next session. But eventually realized that I was being ridiculous. What was my drama with running anyway? He put me on a treadmill and timed it out, counting down from 10 minutes, letting me know the second each minute was completed as if to minimize my stress and illuminate my progress. Each time he shouted out that another minute had gone by, instead of feeling relief, I felt like my throat was
