    • Work Wife vs Real Wife

Sure, Ali may cook her husband's dinner, remind him to pick up the kids, and wake up with him at 2am when he gets up for work. But once George Stephanopoulos is at the Good Morning America studio, he's got another lady all up in his business: Lara Spencer.

Lara's been George's GMA co-anchor since 2011, and sits to his left at the anchor desk every morning. She gets a rare glimpse of what he does behind the scenes, during commercial breaks, and once the show is over. She's his work wife.

So when Lara came all the way across Times Square to talk about her HGTV show, Flea Market Flip, Ali decided to challenge her to a round of Work Wife vs Real Wife. Lara asks Ali five questions about George to test her Stephanopoulos Trivia, and vice versa.

Among the amazing revelations: the first thing George does when GMA is over, his guilty office pleasure, the one food he absolutely detests…and the Broadway musical that made him cry. Also: what you can expect on this season of Flea

    • Ali Learns to Beatbox

In today’s episode, Ali continues her efforts to be the coolest mom in the world by learning to beatbox. Her instructor in this endeavor is Chris “Shockwave” Sullivan, comic, musician, and professional beatboxer from The Electric Company and the hip hop comedy group Freestyle Love Supreme.

Chris started out by teaching a few basic noises from a beatboxer’s repertoire, including the Electric Shock, the Bird, and the Spaceship. Ali also requested some pointers on making the best possible fart noise. (It’s an important life skill, people.)

Raspberries out of the way, the lesson began in earnest. Apparently beatboxing comes down to using two words: ‘boots’ and ‘cuts.’ If you say them over and over, eliminating the consonants, you’ve got the basics. Add in a few of the basic noises listed above, and you’re on your way to being a hip hop star.

To hear Ali and Chris’ full jam session (and maybe learn a few tricks, yourself) check out the video. Also, you can see more of Chris’s

    • Ali Interviews a Hot Guy: Andre Holland

Andre Holland of NBC’s 1600 Penn, and the new movie ’42,’ is a hot guy. He says he’s never considered himself to be particularly hot, but the following information proves that he is:

      1. He is attractive.

      2. He speaks a little French.

      3. He was born on December 28, and shares a birthday with Denzel Washington. (another hot guy)

      4. He was shy as a kid, and looks ever so adorable when he discloses that information.

      5. Just listen to the man’s voice.

But Andre didn’t just stop by Daily Shot to talk about being hot. He just wrapped the first season of 1600 Penn, in which he played White House Press Secretary Marshall Malloy. He’s also promoting the Jackie Robinson biopic “42,’ which comes out on April 12. He plays Wendell Smith, a sportswriter who influenced the decision to bring Jackie Robinson to the Brooklyn Dodgers as the first African American player in Major League Baseball. “It’s the best role I’ve done to date, “ he said, “the most special thing I’ve done.”

    • Four Looks That Add 5lbs.

It’s very possible that one of your favorite outfits isn’t doing you any favors. Tim Gunn tells Ali that there are a handful of popular clothing items that can make you look five pounds heavier than you actually are.

Tim’s number one crime against fashion is the Capri Pant. “It’s the pant that cuts you off right at the widest part of your calf!” he says. “It makes you look visually shorter, unless you’re long and lean and have a great figure.”

And don’t get him started on the Capri Pant’s cousin, the Cargo Capri. Because when you add pockets to capris, “you’re not only shorter, you’re wider!”

Next on Tim’s no-no list: Floral prints. While they are very on-trend this season, Tim warns that you should weigh your options carefully. If you’re a petite size, or on the other hand, if you’re larger than a size 12, “it’s very dicey, because they’ll overwhelm you.”

Another problem look? Skirts with hems that fall between the knee and the ankle. “It’s not only an instant route to

    • Ali Learns to Twerk

We’ve heard a lot this week about the Miley Cyrus video where she’s dancing around in unicorn onezie.

Now, the dance she’s doing is called ‘twerking,’ which is a new word for a lot of people. But it’s not a new dance—by some accounts, the term came out of southern rap in the mid-nineties, and the dance started popping up in music videos in the early 2000s.

Different people argue about who, exactly, coined the term and where the dance was first performed. But if this is the first you’re hearing about it, you should know Miley’s just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to twerking. The genre already has it’s superstars, such as the two Atlanta women called the Twerk Team, whose online videos showcase some expert-level, gravity-defying moves. (Parental discretion advised.)

Here at Daily Shot, we decided that Ali could give Miley Cyrus a run for her money, so we called Rhythm City from America's Best Dance Crew. Director, Alonzo Williams, said he knew just the girls to help Ali

    • ‘Stalking’ Is Such a Harsh Word

When’s the last time you looked up someone hot on Facebook? Before lunch? There are about 900 million people on Facebook and, according to recent research, about a third of them use it to stalk.

“I think part of the problem is we need to stop calling it stalking,” Yahoo! Shine’s Piper Weiss tells Ali. “I think we have to call it practical research.”

Think about it: if you’re about to go on a date with someone you don’t know very well, a Facebook profile or a twitter feed can give you some good conversation material. “I actually think it's sexy to completely admit to someone that you've checked them out on the internet,” says Piper.

For example, say you love air hockey or a local band. If your crush plans a fun date around those activities, it’s kind of romantic, right?

Of course, there’s a line. If you’ve already been dating for awhile, “It's cool to 'like' things that they're doing, it's cool to tag them in things,” says Piper. But don’t overdo it. You don’t

    • If I Were Your Mom….

Justin Bieber fights with the paparazzi, Amanda Bynes gets her faced pierced, and Lindsay Lohan….well, she does what she does. Do you ever look at these young celebs acting out and think, “Where are their parents?”

So when Caroline Manzo,The Real Housewives of New Jersey matriarch, stopped by to talk about her new book, “Let Me Tell You Something,” Ali asked for her tough love take on young Hollywood.

You’d think Caroline would want to get all New Jersey on Lindsay Lohan, who was just sentenced to what will be her sixth rehab stint. But no. “I’m sorry, I just wanna give her a hug,” Caroline said. “Nobody hugs her.”

Justin Bieber, who grabbed headlines Monday by walking through airport security with no shirt on, has been on a tear of outlandish behavior lately. Caroline prescribed some firm but kind parenting for him. “I’m Mrs. Beiber? I’m taking my son away from social media and I’m taking him for a little R&R right now because I think he’s starting to slip,” said

    • When Should Dogs Wear Coats?

Does your dog bark viciously every time you have company? Dig up your yard? Snap at small children? And does she need to wear a coat when it’s cold? Daily Shot puts your doggie questions to an expert.

While Ali’s dachshund, Daisy, is mostly perfect, she does have a bad habit or two. So Ali invited Justin Silver, celebrity dog trainer and the owner of the pet care company The Language of Dogs, to Daily Shot for some free advice.

Daisy behaved impeccably on air, but Ali told Justin that she barks her little face off whenever a guest comes to visit. Justin explained that this is a dog’s way of announcing to you that someone is in your territory. To get her to stop, he suggested that Ali let Daisy bark once or twice, then lead her over to a dog bed and reward her with a treat.

And as for dog coats, Justin uses what he calls ‘The 40-Degree Rule.' If you’ve got a short-haired dog, it’s under 40 degrees outside, and your dog is shivering, by all means put on a coat.

      Some

    • The 'Hot' women guys DON'T find attractive

Have you ever been watching a TV show with a guy and been shocked to hear him say, “Ugh, she’s just not attractive at all!” Sometimes men and women can have completely different opinions on who and what is ‘pretty.’

Ali spoke to Mansome’s Roger Hailes about what he thinks the main difference is. Women find “petite, small women” aspirationally beautiful, while guys like “voluptuous with just maybe a dash of slutty.”

To put that in more visual terms, Roger says January Jones is girl pretty. “She’s neat, she’s small, she’s the feminine ideal,” he explains, but guys want, “boobs and a butt.” In other words, have a burger. Guys really DO like a woman with meat on her bones.

Another surprising beauty that men just aren’t that in to? Supermodel Gisele Bundchen. Her problem, according to Roger, is that “she’s too perfect.” Basically, if a guy can’t imagine a single circumstance under which he’d have a chance with a woman, he just moves on. It’s like a self-defense mechanism. “Now I

    • “Thanks To Photoshop, My Grandmother Could Be a Model”

Earlier this year, a Victoria’s Secret model made headlines when she attributed her success to winning “a genetic lottery,” rather than hard work. “I'm not saying I'm lazy. But the most important part of my job is to show up with a 23-inch waist, looking young, feminine and white,” said Cameron Russell, who has appeared in Chanel campaigns and Vogue magazine. She added that models “are some of the most physically insecure women on the planet.”

It was an interesting revelation about a profession that seems like it would be full of confident women. So Ali invited her friend Paulina Porizkova, who rose to fame as an international supermodel in the eighties, to give an insider’s perspective on the modeling industry today.

Paulina, who is just as gorgeous as ever, told Ali that the times she felt the ugliest was when she was modeling. “You don’t hear, oh you’re so beautiful, your hair is so splendid, your eyes are so pretty,” she says. “It’s ‘oh, well your nose is a millimeter too
