A lot of women focus on and stress about their skin when they're thinking about anti-aging treatments. But you might want to look a little higher up on your head. According to Alan Bauman, M.D., a board-certified hair restoration physician, the condition of your hair can really make you look older. Dryness, lackluster color, frizziness, breakage, split ends, and thinning are all signs of aging.
Bauman points to three behaviors you can change to help your hair (and you!) look healthier and younger:
Bad nutrition: Put down that Halloween candy right now! A bad diet can contribute to lackluster locks. Bauman suggests eating salmon, which is loaded with omega-3 fatty acid, dark green vegetables for vitamins A and C, and nuts, which are a good source of zinc.
