Mad Men, season 7
This season on Mad Men… Don Draper sits next to an ashtray. Megan Draper looks fashionable. Peggy Olson dresses for success. And Roger Sterling makes a bold leap… into plaid pants.
In true Mad Men tradition, these three new images from the upcoming season-part of a photoshoot, not excerpts from any actual scenes on the show-don't tell us a whole lot. Speaking by phone today, creator Matthew Weiner declined to reveal what year the show will be set, other than promising it picks up after season six left off in November of 1968. And he won't cop to any special meaning in the airport setting, for both these images and a teaser video: "We picked the airport because we felt it was something we hadn't done. Obviously it's an opportunity for a slight bit of irony because there is zero glamour in an airport now. So that was a little bit of time travel. But really, as disappointing as it is, there's not much story to tell there."
