Jeans? Pass. Glamour? Yes, please. That seems to be the motto for designers Mark Badgley and James Mischka, the men behind legendary line and red carpet staple Badgley Mischka. I got to speak to them before their spring 2013 Ready-to-Wear line and ready-to-wear-it I am. OK, so maybe I don't have anywhere to wear a floor-sweeping, fluttering, coral pink tulle and sequined gown, per se. But, like I overheard some of the backstage staff say, I'd gladly wear these gorgeous evening gowns and separates around the house.

The spring collection was inspired by Max Reinhardt's 1935 film "A Midsummer Night's Dream," a black and white film based on the Shakespearean play of the same name. I caught up with the perma-adorable AnnaSophia Robb while she hosted the Fekkai Mademoiselle Fashion’s Night Out celebration at the Frederic Fekkai Fifth Avenue salon at Henri Bendel to discuss her upcoming role in CW's "The Carrie Diaries” this fall. The 18-year-old may best be recognized for her roles in movies like Bridge to Terabithia and Soul Surfer, but she'll soon be known to style mavens everywhere for her role as a young Carrie Bradshaw in the series. The show, based on the novels by Candace Bushnell, follows a high-school aged Carrie, recovering from the recent loss of her mother and trying to balance school, a fabulous internship in New York and just getting through being a teenager in the 80's. It's not just for hippies anymore. The colorful print once relegated mostly to maxi dresses has been showing up on Hollywood's most fashionable recently--from Eva Mendes to Miranda Kerr--but some fearless Brits have taken the colorful teardrop pattern to new heights.

Jessie J and Florence Welch both know the key to wearing a print as busy as paisley from head-to-toe is keeping everything in the same color family while sticking to more structured pieces like cropped trousers and crisp button downs.
